Liberal Love-In on Fox & Friends: "Disenfranchised" French Yoots; Rove Should "Recuse" Himself
Fox & Friends Weekend | governsleastgovernsbest

Posted on 11/13/2005 4:25:54 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Just when you thought Fox & Friends Weekend couldn't get any worse . . .

I thought it was bad enough when Juliet Huddy and Mike Jerrick were providing some kind of balance to Julian Phillips blatherings.

It's a sign of just how bad things have gotten, with Juliet and Mike now gone, that Phillips has become something of the voice of reason!

Kiran Chetry and Page Hopkins are sitting in this morning with Phillips, and the trio tried to outdo each other in their PC comments on the French riots.

While the women wrung their hands about how the French yoots have been "disenfranchised," Phillips talked about how the underclasses have historically been mistreated in France "going back to the time of the French revolution!

If there was anything in their discussion about the rioters being Muslims, egged on by radical imams, I missed it.

Then it was on to a discussion of the GOP's fortunes. The screen was filled with shots of Rove and Condi and I am not 100% certain who made the comment, but it seemed that it was Page Hopkins who suggested that since Karl Rove has become such a "lightning rod," it might be a good idea for him to "recuse himself.

"Recuse himself? That is something a judge does when he has a conflict of interest. I'm assuming that Page was suggesting that Rove either resign or take a leave of absence, but who really knows?

Here's where Julian played the voice of reason [!], saying he wasn't sure Rove's 'recusal' was the answer.

What a mess of a show. Has the time has come for Fox News to scrap the weekend edition and start again from scratch?

I wish they would make the ladies on the show
wear "Pentecostal" skirts. Then there would
be no reason at all to watch Foxes and Fools.

I just come to FR first thing for the news and keep the TV on something mindless so I don't get in a bad mood to start the day. I like Neil, Britt and Gibson and that's it.

Evidently Paige was not at the Heritage Foundation (I think it was) the other night when Rove spoke and received a standing ovation.

All these liberals are just mouthing the "kook" left's mantras from the internet blogs of MoveOn and Daily Kos.

And .. this accounts for what the democrats are doing too. Their "kook" base is DEMANDING they become anti-war. To do that, the dems have to somehow make Bush responsible for the dems agreeing to the war .. by saying Bush misled them and they didn't know what they were signing. It's the same old, same old, the dems are never responsible for anything they do - it's always somebody else's fault.

I'm glad Bush called their bluff and stated for the record, "they know" and then told what the dems knew well before Bush even came into office.

I agree .. I have turned off FOX for the whole weekend. I do like Tony Snow on Saturday mornings, but after that it's all down hill.

I suggest they replace Julian with the gal who is an accomplished pianist. She even has a CD released. What little I saw of her on the show, she seems impressive.

I agree .. it's not worth $36 a month to me to watch such drivel. I have cancelled my extra cable.

I agree .. and with the continuous slimey comments from the MSM .. evidently they just can't take it.

Too bad .. they started something good .. it's been taken over by the liberals.

Rupert is moving the network. The global warning show on Fox and the news coverage during the run up to it on Fox radio network, now this. We have been suckered. The shift left is on at Fox.

Dunno...tuned out over a year ago. The eye candy doesn't compensate for the liberal bilge.

Brit Hume. His show, and the intelligent people on it (except for Juan Williams) - it's a breath of fresh air.

Now Fox and Friends is showing a "sexy" country video. How sickening.

The FOX NEWS channel has indeed been drifting left over the past couple of years and I think it is a part of their original business plan to succeed.

Begin with putting out the news the nets never did, IOW the conservative point of view and by doing so garner as many conservatives as possible as viewers. After a period of time and when they felt they had as many conservatives as they were going to get, they began "softening" the news presentation to include slightly more left wing views which brought in some moderates from both Parties and kept the conservatives. It has worked since their numbers have climbed every month for years while the competition has crashed and burned over the same period of time. The secret for FOX will be to walk that line between left and right in such a way that they gain and keep the maximum number of viewers from each side of the aisle and the middle.

The fact they are pis*ing off people on both sides means they are doing it right so far.

But it was the very same problem over in the UK. The neighborhood where the bombers lived was cut off from the outside on purpose. Neighbors of the community said they had no idea these men were plotting to blow up things.

And .. if anybody is paying attention .. the same thing holds true in the USA. There are muslims all over the place and they stay huddled in little communities where they do not allow the general public to integrate into them, and they do not integrate into the outside.

When you combine that with the fact that the French and the British are snobs who don't want these people to integrate, you have a recipe for disaster.

When they show up for job interviews looking like something out of Laurence of Arabia .. the general public is hesitant to hire them. But .. of course .. we're the intolerant ones because we will not accept their standards.

If they don't like our standards .. then why on earth would you move your family to a place like that ..?? We know why .. because they plan on taking over and imposing their standards on us.

I don't like Dayside anymore. What happened to the gal who was doing it .. Linda Vester ..?? I listened to Rush in the mornings, and now I'm working so I never see it.

Thanks for confirming the need to stay away from the weekend version of CNN-lite (i.e., Fox & Friends). I quit watching it over a year ago because of Julian, et al.

They're worse than watching CNN, where at least the LIBERAL PC/VICTIM MENTALITY is expected. It turns my stomach to see that crap on a station that touts it's "fair and balanced."
