Good dog...
Labs have hearts the size of an elephant and are nearly as strong.
It's good to have one love you.

Doggie Ping! Labs are such beautiful and faithful dogs.

There's no friend like a loyal dog, and I love my English setter.
Billhilly, are you pinged yet?

Labs are wonderful dogs. I grew up with them. I am glad that he survived. It sounds as if it were a very close thing.
To: BenLurkin
Labs---I got two males---tough, strong and stubborn, but very loyal and and loving. And they stop eating the furniture when they finally mature (which takes 3 years.)

" Brent brought Junior a rambunctious Labrador inside from his kennel."
- Wouldn't you think that after saving Brent's life that Junior would have at least been rewarded with his own life time spot inside, beside the fireplace?

Lab is dumb spelled forward and backwards. Except for this one little thing... they tend to be there and do the right thing for the folks they love. I know that I miss all of the ones that I have raised and have gone on before me. And I look forward to the next one, when the time is right.

His voice is still hoarse from a cold, suffered from his struggle in the 45- degree water. Unlikely that he got the cold from the cold water (it will kill a rhinovirus). He probably got the cold later due to a weakened immune system.

There's just one thing wrong with this story. The part where he brought the Lab in from his kennel. Those dogs are awesome. I have my third one now and would not feel like a whole person without one. They can function quite well as house dogs and hunting dogs.
He's a lucky guy, and once again the noble labrador proves why they are ranked at or near the top of all dogs. You have mail.

My lab, Penny. She is with me 24 hours a day, and is a perfect dog. She also weighs 100lbs., so could protect me from just about anything.

Hello,
Years ago, my husband and I got two yellow labs, brother and sister. We named them Ward and June. They were terrific dogs, kind and gentle. Unfortunately, they both suffered from heart problems that we and their vet didn't catch until it was too late. June died at 5, Ward soon after.
I miss them very much too...
Glad to be here, MOgirk
