Scully: "Mulder...Did you just see...a Hamster run across the floor?"

Mulder: "Yeah. And it seemed like such a nice college in the catalog description..."

Yes, that is a major problem with Nietzsche: his philosophy has very little do with his legacy, since over the decades his philosophy has been twisted to support many despicable schools of thought, most notably Nazism (his sister was a strong supporter of Nazism in the early years, and when Nietzsche passed she inherited all of his works. Those letters and writings not already published were edited to support Nazism, those works already published were re-edited and re-released in a new Nazified form). I would even argue that Nietzsche wasn't a part of the greater European Nihilistic movement, though certainly he retained many of the terms and explanations of nihilism in his writings; but that would be a topic far, far removed from the rest of this thread, which I believe centers on hamsters and Richard Gere.

"the drug is growing in popularity among some gay men who search the Internet looking for sex parties where the drug is offered, state officials and counselors said."

Would it be homophobic of me to suggest that these men be called something other than gay --- I don't think it is gay to live and die this wretchedly.

"Just be thankful the article didn't mention them finding badgers."

Good point.

But even among the greater half of the public, only a handful recognise this behavior as a consequence of (not the cause of) an intentional attack on traditional society - largely via the exploitation of our best minds, free and innocent young men.

I feel for the boy who died. He was murdered in a conspiracy that lead him from kindergarten all the way to a drug-den where he volunteered to be f-'ed and sodomized, the entire time sincerely believing that this is a path of sophistication.

That path was paved from the TOP-down. It was put there on purpose.

You're right, of course. But perhaps we are so used to this behavior on the left that we typically view it as one would a monkey cage in a zoo.

Hence, the poking of fun at the appearance of small rodents involved in the the gayplay, rather than looking askance at the act itself.

McCormick, an engineering student turned high-tech artist .... the MIT grad ...
McCormick, 29

Was he a student or an alumnus of MIT? If the former, then the next steps should be very easy -- MIT can simply ban methamphetamines and excessive extramarital sex to prevent all future student deaths.

Seven to nine years ago, an MIT freshman died from alcohol poisoning. MIT paid the student's family and promptly instituted rules to prohibit alcohol consumption by students under age 21 and to require school permits (and training and limits to the numbers of bottles) to serve it. Other schools across the coutry adopted similar rules. Notwithstanding the laws and school regulations, underage students have still died of alcohol poisoning at various schools every school year.

..."Armageddon" might be the funniest thing I have ever heard....

Me too. I was driving down I-95 when I first heard it. I got to laughing so hard I was crying.

I couldn't see so I had to pull off the road and stop for a while.

"Police have not identified McCormick as the dead man, but Bachrach said it was him."

"...said it was he." Where is the Herald's style book?

In this case they'll probably want to put another ban in place to keep students away from pet stores and dive shops, too. After all, we can't have stupid people hurting themselves, we must protect everyone from their actions, however moronic, because if we don't it'll mean the gene pool loses these budding Einsteins and Salks and Pasteurs...

...or more likely, loses these future Barney Franks and Teddy Kennedys...why do we care if this dipshit offed himself again?

"Does anyone know what a "Southie" is?"

Historically Irish south end of Boston. Not the sort of place MIT grads typically settle.

“group bondage parties”, Burning Man, rodents.

Perhaps there was some sort of Rube Goldberg device that involved rodents, drugs and group bondage.

[ This is not a mom and pop lab.]

Isn't it so cynical the way they use that term? Mom and Pop never smoked up crack and did it up the b*** wearing wetsuits in a dungeon.

The communist effort to de-legitimize and subvert stabilizing cultural imagery is constantly embraced by its intentional adherents and their useful idiots, even today.

MIT graduate Kevin McCormick was found dead

Not very smart, was he?

Moral education is more important than the education of the intellect.
