They may have been willing to lay down their lives; but in this scenario; they never had a chance.
Their lives were stolen from them - they no doubt thought they were dealing with an untrustworthy teenager; not a psycopathic killer.
Of course not but a 14 y/o being drawn to a troubled 18 young man could easily be taken advantage of. Things that would be red flags to us were probably not even noticed or explained away by her. Even her friend posted concerns that she just brushed off.
Think this Pastor was simply at a loss for words. . .or enough meaningful ones to carry a message.

Cindy, what was reported was from a reporter at the scene. He wasn't just describing the children, but the rest of the relatives as well.
I went from thinking the boy just "snapped" to the reality that he was obviously 'disturbed' before this.
I have to reserve judgement concerning Kara's involvment till we know more.

No, the guy was an 18 yr old who had been planning to murder people with his friend, and they made a video about it. The 14 yr old girl is not sunshine and rainbows. She disobeyed her parents, stayed out all night, and none of this would have happened if she had obeyed. We don't know the extent of her involvement in the murders yet, if any.

Yeah, she may be part of this but we don't know yet. I hope she wasn't though. It's almost unimaginable. This boy though...It's looking more and more like he didn't just "snap" in anger .
He better never see the light of day again.
