If we'd known where Tokyo Rose was, we'd have taken her out.

What's the difference with the al-Jazeera (all terrorist, all the time) news network?

Rather than a smart bomb, I like the idea of pulling a large fuel truck full of AMSOL up in front of the building and setting it off.

We could have a guy with a turban get out of the truck, praise Allah and run like hell.

We should just follow their reporters around. They seem to always be "just in the neighborhood" when the terrorists attack.

Yeah, but if we had taken out Al Jazeera, like cock roaches, another "Jazeera" would have taken it's place.

I'm still in favor of taking them all out & starting over from scratch. Can that be done?

Do you want proof? It was reported yesterday that a successful production of Christopher Marlowe's "Tamburlaine the Great" at the Barbican Theater in London deliberately censored the play in order not to offend Muslims. Passages in which Shakespeare's rival depicts his hero burning the Koran and insulting the Prophet Mohammed were cut because "it would have unnecessarily raised the hackles of a significant proportion of one of the world's great religions."

No doubt the same paragons of tolerance for whom art is a crucifix in a jar of piss. They didn't seem too worried about "unnecessarily raising the hackles of a significant proportion of one of the world's great religions" in that case, most likely because they knew Christians wouldn't saw their infidel heads off with a rusty knife.

Should've been done at the very start of the War on Terror. The "politically correct" bunch are the ones that have been preventing it.

I wonder why the question even has to be asked.

If Pres Bush was a REAL wartime President, he would bomb Al Jazeera along with Teheran, Damascus and PingPong N.K.(where the ugly little dictator lives).

But alas...it seems that we are going to do what we do...give the enemy time so he won't feel bad or be offended. This will allow him to get some really dangerous weapons, possibally to try out on us here in America.

Damn, its disguisting waiting for the bomb to drop....I hope its not in my neighborhood.

On the plus side, maybe AJ is at the very least a little uncomfortable, knowing that this was either jokingly (according to some) or seriously (according to others) considered. Let them sweat.

Taking it out could be done so easy, no way they can hide the signal from detection devices. Once Longitude and Latitude is found, good by.

Bad Idea! he should take out the satellite. Al Jazeera can always rebuild a building, but it takes time to get another satellite up in orbit!

I remember during the initial phase of the Iraqi operation we killed one of their reporters. Their reaction was quite a contrast when they explained why they showed videos of dead American soldiers being taunted by Iraqi's. But when one of their own was killed they were a little more somber about it.

IF GWB had actually wanted al-Jazeera to be bombed, its HQ would be a "crater" today.

On the other hand, if one is to be "blamed" for doing something which DID NOT HAPPEN, what is the downside for "doing the deed"?

Margaret Thatcher:

"Democratic nations must try to find ways to starve the terrorist and the hijacker of the oxygen of publicity on which they depend."

So yes, Al jazeera should be bombed!!
