Iran's Ahmadinejad says Israel should be moved to Europe
AFP ^ | December 8, 2005

Posted on 12/08/2005 8:58:29 AM PST by West Coast Conservative

Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that if Germany and Austria feel responsible for massacring Jews during World War II, a state of Israel should be established on their soil. Ahmadinejad, who sparked an international outcry in October when he said Israel "must be wiped off the map", also repeated his view Thursday that the Jewish state was a "tumour".

"Now that you believe the Jews were oppressed, why should the Palestinian Muslims have to pay the price?" the hardline president asked in an interview with Iran's Arabic-language satellite channel, Al-Alam.

"Why did you come to give a piece of Islamic land and the territory of the Palestinian people to them?

"You oppressed them, so give a part of Europe to the Zionist regime so they can establish any government they want. We would support it," he said, according to a transcript of his original Farsi-language comments given to AFP.

"So, Germany and Austria, come and give one, two or any number of your provinces to the Zionist regime so they can create a country there which all of Europe will support and the problem will be solved at its root," he said.

"Why do they insist on imposing themselves on other powers and creating a tumour so there is always tension and conflict?"

Al-Alam said Ahmadinejad was speaking in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia where he was attending a two-day meeting of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference that opened Wednesday.

"Is it not true that European countries insist that they committed a Jewish genocide? They say that Hitler burned millions of Jews in furnaces ... and exiled them," Ahmadinejad told Al-Alam.

"Then because the Jews have been oppressed during the Second World War, therefore they (the Europeans) have to support the occupying regime of Qods (Jerusalem). We do not accept this," he said.

He also noted that European countries "believe in this so much and are so determined that any researcher who denies it (the Holocaust) with historical evidence is dealt with in a most harsh way and sent to prison."

The Holocaust was Nazi Germany's systematic slaughter of an estimated six million Jews between 1933 and 1945, mainly in the latter years of World War II.

Official Iranian media frequently carry sympathetic interviews with Holocaust revisionist historians -- who attempt to establish that the number of Jews killed by the Nazis was wildly exaggerated.

Iran refuses to recognise Israel.

Ahmadinejad said his second proposal was for "a referendum in Palestine for all the original Palestinians" to decide on the future of what is now Israel, the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

But the president said that "the best solution is resistance so that the enemies of the Palestinians accept the reality and the right of the Palestinian people to have land."

"Is it not true that European countries insist that they committed a Jewish genocide? They say that Hitler burned millions of Jews in furnaces ... and exiled them..."

AFP (and the BBC, so far) see fit to exclude the Holocaust-denial remarks that Reuters reported:

"Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail," IRNA quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?"

This guy must be yet another Karl Rove operative, because every time he opens his mouth, he gives ammunition to the invade-Iran argument. The more he talks, the more likely he's about to get a cruise missile lobbed up his hindquarters.

Well, if numnuts wants to get technical, Israel was Jewish and Christian long before it ever had any Muslims in the area. Comparatively, Islam is a new-comer to the area.

He is messing with God when he suggests that Israel be moved. The land Israel occupies was given by God to the Jews. That is why it is so wrong for the Prime Minister of Israel to be giving Israeli land to the Palestinians.

I like the idea myself. Of course I like the idea of buying Baja mexico from Mexico and giving it to Jewish people to live. We could still fund them to the tune of several billion/annum and still be ahead of the game. Religious extremists on both sides are hell bent on mass destruction and that SUCKS!@!!@!@!!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Yeah I'm addressing a lot of FR when I state this.

What I'm saying I wish we had zero to do with the ME. Two entirely incompatible cultures. One will have to be destroyed for their to be peace. Like the Indian Nation was destroyed. There is no available compromise. The future looks mighty dim if we are forced to manifest our destiny in those lands.

Actually not. The Middle Eastern ones had significant Christian populations, but Indonesia, Pakistan, etc, did not. Indonesia is the most populous Muslim country. Pakistan was part of Hindu India until the Muzzies invaded India, ruling it for several centuries. I wonder how this Iranian moonbat would like it if Pakistan and Bangladesh were reincorporated into India?

May you wipe off Islamofascist Turkey off the map, having Western Armenia back to Armenia, Kurds having their Northern Kurdistan, Greeks having Cyprus, and Constantinople back in the hands of Christians?

Just my opinion...but the USA should have carved out parts of
the most desolate land for immigrant Jews (and other Europeans)
when Hitler and his buddies were telling them to "get out".

I suspect much more of the West would be blooming and we would have
probably had the A-bomb even quicker.

It does sound like Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is "calling out Israel". He is taunting and throwing symbolic water in their face.

We all have seen it in American western movies...the bad guy calling out the good guy for a gun-fight in the street.

Mr. Ahmadinejad's days are numbered IMO. Israel will meet Iran at "high noon" pretty soon....

bye bye Iran,....we knew you when...

All I see this as is more posturing by an Islamic leader. They all do this at some point for political gain. They know there people hate Israel, so they make empty threats.

But then again this guy seems like he's unhinged and he might actually be serious.

This actually tracks with how most EU types feel.

They truly believe Israel is an illegitimate entity that was created on Arab lands.

Iran's Ahmadinejad says Israel should be moved to Europe

The hallmark of horrid leadership: It has worked in Iran for 26 long years…

  1. Dilute discussion of your own failures
  2. Maintain some aura of authority by institutionalized public dependence and suppression of truth
  3. Create and emphasize an external demon
  4. Insure the public has no ability to confront said demon without the state
  5. Repeat until the a revolution or said demon sweeps you away

Ahmadinejad… we won’t be your demon any more! Change or you will be changed.

I rather wish the same myself - a Zion blooming in Nevada or Utah?

I don't think that would have satisfied the Jews though - "if I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my tongue cleave to my mouth and my right hand forget its cunning..."

Don't know if it would have satisfied God either.

Thanks for the correction. Because I am such an imperialist, I was only thinking of the Middle and Near East, completely dismissing Indonesia - which if I'm not mistaken is a group of islands in the western Phillipines. And Pakistan I lumped in with India.

Abraham and his children were the JEWS. God made His covenant with Abraham for the land as far as he could see and promised him descentants as numerous as the stars. These decendents were all Jews. If you have someone to gripe to it's God.

What's your problem, Mercy? Where do you see that I'm suggesting violence?

Are you trying to flame me or did I misunderstand?

Rather than saying 'mess with the bull and you'll get the horns', perhaps I should have said 'play with fire and you'll get burned' or 'what goes around comes around'. Hey, I like that last one.

In reference to your suggestion of my verbal inadequency, please remember this. I'll try to say it whereas you can process it without any misconception: "Freedom is not free. There comes a time in ones life that one must either take action or submit to the will of the evil."

By gosh, I have taken it into serious consideration and have come to the conclusion that:

"you are a TROLL".
