My guy Turbin Durbin is on the outs, but we can't have at him until 2008.

Look at how toxic Mark Dayton is in Minnesota!!!! Hope the Republican Candidate in 2006 tie him firmly to the tail of whomever the Democrats run.

Since they couldn't figure out that Bush beat Gore and Kerry based on exit polls, I don't know what credence we'd give to these worthless polls.

A very cursory glance makes it look to me that the RINOs and Dems have good solid approval numbers (better than 60 percent). That seems to confirm something I've long suspected: People in Dem and Rhino states aren't paying attention to what's going on. They give high approval numbers because they don't care.

It's a phony poll by liberal TV stations. I try not to watch those stations...so they didn't get my opinion of how senators in my area are doing, which is lousy!

To show how meaningless the poll is, or how uninformed the respondents are, take the example of my two loser senators, Sarbanes and Mikulski. If there's a difference between them, I'm not aware of it, yet Sarbanes comes in at #75 whiles Babs finishes #27.
Then again, maybe Mikulski did so well because of her looks?

Lautenberg is dead last. Lautenberg was the last-minute replacement for Toricelli, who the NJ Supremos let be substituted after the deadline in 2002. What a joke.
The only person who could have possibly lost to Lautenberg was Doug Forrester. But he's going to keep buying 'Pubbie primaries in NJ until his money runs out. And he has a lot of money...

My senators are tough-as-nails conservative and they will be re-elected, as they have been in the past. They are very popular. IRC, one of them garnered almost 70% of the vote in their last election.
BTW, you think Lautenberg will lose in liberal NJ just because he's the least popular in a flawed poll.

The last poll I saw on Santorum (not Rasmussen they talked about the other day, Quinnipiac?) he was polling something like 20 pts behind Casey, but when asked if they thought he had done a good job, something like 67% answered yes! The problem with the conservative Democrats who have voted twice for Santorum is they "love" Casey and these are people from his area of the state.

This chart, if accurate, is a perfect reflection as to why Senators are almost always re-elected.
