Message to black youth:

What message does this send to black youth? Here is a man that refused to admit to the murders he perpetrated, or appologize for them. He took credit for starting a gang whose members killed countless people, and inspired the startup of countless gangs who also killed an unknown number of people.

Then someone wrote some books that sold in single digits in some instances, double digits in others, put his name on them and claimed these books influenced over a hundred thousand kids from joining gangs.

Then you had some lame people nominate Tookie for the Nobel Peace Prize and also the Nobel Prize for Literature. What an elaborate sham!

When Tookie was put to death, no gangs claimed him. There was no big commotion. These folks never knew Tookie. His name meant nothing to them.

The propaganda surrounding Tookie having to face justice, is a classic example of what is wrong with too much of the black community in the United States these days. While successful black men are called Uncle Toms and dismissed as role models, the Tookie Williamses are lofted as men of honor and victims of a racist society.

This is revolting on the face of it. It is also a very sad commentary on the future of all too many black youth who will be misled, sent down the wrong path in honor of the Tookies among them.

Here's a bit of satire that puts this in perspective.
