Just observed what appeared to be 3 or 4 jet aircraft, (military type fighter aircraft), following a commercial airliner, westbound into LAX about 2 minutes ago. From the OC area.
My first thought was possibly AF-1 but I don't think POTUS is in the region.
I just clicked that site and I don't see anything moving, maybe since I have a mac I can't see this anyway

We reviewed that site, and are all convinced that site is not displaying tactical military aircraft. For obvious reasons. Otherwise, we would have seen it.
6:30 is rush hour in LA... if it's near a freeway, circling, I'd assume it's a news plane or copter. Especially since it's hovering near the freeway.
I met 48 for you. I don't think military aircraft will be displayed on that.

Not only that, that site wont be showing any military aircraft tracking.
Similar event here several hours ago. Passenger jets did 180's back to Houston followed by military flyovers. I didn't think much about it at the time and have no explanation. Maybe it'll be in the papers tomorrow.
The event we observed this evening was a commercial jet, approximately 30mi east of LAX. But the aircraft did not alter it's westbound heading, continued west, as the 3 to 4 military fighter type aircraft came in behind and below it, following it until it was out of our sight. It only lasted about 20 seconds. However prior to the commercial jet appearing to our east, we observed the military aircraft circling for approximately 5 minutes or so, until the commercial airliner intersected their orbits, then all appeared to follow in behind it.
And this occurred in an area that is on the main approach from the east, for westbound commercial aircraft into LAX.
Another bump.
Maybe the military planes were seeing if anything on the groung was locking on to the commercial plane...

Are we hearing these same things right now?
