Terrorist bomb detonates on bombers
TIKRIT, Iraq – One terrorist was killed and another severely injured when the improvised explosive device they were attempting to emplace detonated prematurely. The incident occurred Dec. 19, near the city of Tikrit.
Tikrit police and Soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team responded to the explosion. The police officers performed first-aid on the injured bomber, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The IED was composed of a 155 mm artillery shell and a detonating device, according to an explosives ordnance team investigating the explosion.
Soldiers searching the area discovered another artillery round and several other IED components in a nearby vehicle.
In addition to the wounded bomber, two other men were detained for allegedly attempting to help the surviving bomber avoid the responding security forces.

We need a prop arm to attach stigma to the martyrdom mentality of suicide bombers - something like "they only do it because they caught AIDs from slurping Arafat".

As for the Darwin awards ... all the suicide bombers should be earning those ... it is idiotic to remove oneself from the gene pool by blowing oneself up in an attempt to kill a few other people you hate. DUMB and DUMBER.
Would it be posible to create a transmitter that would send out wide ranging frequencies to detonate those things?

I do not know for sure. But I think it is possible assuming the bomb was detonated by cell phone or other radiotransmitter.

Makes me wonder. This has been happening more lately.

Company Commander: "Soldier, what do you know about this?"
2nd Soldier: "Well, I think the corpsman was trying to clear an airway or something. What do I know, I'm just a grunt."
Company Commander: "Well, good job men, keep up the good work.....Oh, here's your bayonet back. Better sharpen it again, got some bone chips on that blade there."
