I received an email telling me that Micah Maupin, USMC, the younger brother of POW/MIA Sgt. Keith Matthew Maupin, was injured in a motorcycle accident the day before he was to come home for Christmas. Here is the information that I received:
Matts younger brother, LCpl Micah Maupin, has been seriously injured at his duty station in California.
He was in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon and it wasn't looking very good, but he is improving. He suffered a broken neck, bruised lungs, and he fractured a some vertebrae. His C7 vertebra was removed because it was too fractured to repair and it was replaced with bone fragments then it was fused with another vertebra. He is doing very well and he was walking a bit yesterday and today he got out of his bed on his own, very slowly, but he is making some great progress after everything that he has been through. The doctors have told him to expect a period of 6 to 9 months before he can return to active military duty. He has a difficult process ahead of him with therapy.
Would please keep Micah Maupin, his family and Sgt. Keith Matthew Maupin in your prayers. I'll make sure that any comments that are posted are forwarded on to his family!! I'm sure that they will appreciate your prayers and taking the time to think about them during this Christmas season.
If you wouldn't mind, please say an extra prayer that we bring Matt Maupin home soon!!! Our troops are doing a wonderful job, let's pray that they bring Sgt. Maupin home too!!

Prayers for a speedy and smooth recovery.
"Lord God in Heaven, Our Father;
We come before Thee in all Humility, with heads bowed and eyes closed, in supplication. We seek Thy Divine Intervention on behalf of a brave warrior, LCpl Micah Maupin, who has been tragically injured and is in need of Thine assistance.
We pray also that Sgt Matt Maupin be returned home soon, safe to his Family.
Be with us, Lord, guide us and bless us. For we ask it in Jesus Name: Amen."
Prayers up!
You are the answer to every need we have. You have seen the trials the Maupin family has faced with their missing son, and now the injuries of another son. Father, these are young men who are serving their fellow man---who are laying down their lives for others. Holy God, we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that Matthew be found and brought home and that Micah would receive Your perfect healing. Grant him complete recovery from all of his injuries and restore him to absolute health. Father, hold close to You these parents who have endured so much. You are able to answer these prayers in ways far more wonderful than we can imagine or think. Father, these problems are too great for them and their only hope is in You and in the promise of Your Word. We are confident that You will not forsake them in their time of need. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayers will be said for those two brave men. Thank you, Maupin family for raising two incredible boys!
This is heartbreaking news. My prayers to the family and all involved.
The Maupin Family will be in my prayers. God bless them and give them strength.
Unimagineable. Am so sorry. Will pray for him for certain.
