MILWAUKEE -- At least 15 young people dragged a motorist out of his car and kicked and punched him, causing severe head trauma, after he honked his horn to get them to move out of a street, police said.
It was the latest in a series of mob beatings in the city.
The 50-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday and it was unclear whether he would survive, police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said.
Schwartz said the man was driving alone on the city's north side late Monday when he honked at the group of young people in the middle of a road.
"Instead of moving they surrounded the vehicle," and kicked and beat him, she said.
"They left him for dead and when we showed up he was lying in the street," she said.
Officers hadn't made any arrests Tuesday, she said.
It was unclear where the man was going or if he lived in the area, she said.

I teach my kids how to avoid being in harm's way 24/7. You make it part of your everyday routines.
Being in an unfamiliar area, alone, after dark, and initiating reason to confront a group of people, of who are in an unknown state of mind and are prone to group-think, is a sure way to end up dead. Race is irrelevant.

Back in the 70's a news crew staged an abandoned car on the Deegan, and set up a camera to film the car over night. The film was run in fast motion, to collapse 8-10 hours into 2-3 minutes. It was hillarious to see the local urchins slinking out of the bushes to remove parts from the car. In the end, the car was completely stripped of bumpers, wheels, fenders, seats, etc. The car was nothing but a chassis by daybreak.

The black hoodlums and thugs took over Milwaukee many years ago. I am glad I no longer live there.
So are you saying you would still live there is the hoodlums were white or that there is no such thing as a black hoodlum?

That being said, a thug is a thug, regardless of race.
If that had happened the next story would be about the poor disaffected black youths who were ruthlessly gunned down by a white vigilante.
