The assassination scenario still gave the impression that there has been an attempt or some people really tried it, or that thre was some secret government order to assassinate Nixon.
It was really very poor form on the part of the paper to use that ludicrous title "license to kill Nixon", when in fact it was nothing of the sort.
When I read the title, my immediate reaction was "Oh, my God, what was this". I am sure others have the same reaction, then I went to read the article and found I had to register to find out what it really said. It was somewhat frustrating and I am sure others feel the same way.
While newspapers may want a catchy title, but this title is a flat out lie, because there was NO "license to kill Nixon". One would expect better of the OC Register.
Whatever. I feel like I'm in f***ing grade school.
