The first question that needs to be asked is did one of the three men own the cat? If so then there is no reason for pressing any charges whatsoever. He can deal with his property as he sees fit.

Now if they didn't own the cat they should be charged with theft and forced to make restitution.

BTW. I've had lots of cats and currently am feeding all the outdoor kitties around the house.

"It's not beyond belief that the cat did this to herself"

er.... Yes it is.

"I knew I wouldn't get the cat-lover vote."

Serial killers almost always start by torturing animals as children. I have a sense of humor and I can laugh at Darwin award winners who off themselves accidentally by acting stupid, but people who think torture and death at the hands of another is funny, are strange indeed.

They have a Cleveland, too. It seems to be pretty much the same.

People on FR are usually the most intelligent, generous and capable people compared to the average person. However, many of them seem to have no empathy for the suffering of animals -- some even find it amusing. I will never understand this.

I think the fact that I have to live in peace with 25,000 dead, shredded aborted human babies every week has hardened me. Cats and Dogs? I don't give a flip.

How can a cat shut herself in the microwave and turn on the buttons and push "start"?!

"Cats and Dogs? I don't give a flip."

I think we can care about more than one thing at a time.

See a later post. I used to work with one that closed its own door.

See one of my later posts. It would involve an older commercial grade machine ~ from the age when they were called "radar ranges".

Um... it's kinda hard to push the buttons when you are inside.

I am no cat lover but I do think they do a lot of cute and funny things. I bought my daughter-in-law this book called "Bad Cat" and it is laugh-out-loud hysterical. Our whole family was laughing.

This is just cruel. God does not want us to abuse animals - he gave them to us as a blessing and gift.

Some of these responses are pretty callous. I think they just want to "get your goat."

"And sick puppies need to be put to sleep."

I would be more inclined to take a sick puppy to the vet.

Yeah, know what they do with sick puppies that have rabies?
