Next they will be toting up the amount of popcorn sold to try and convince the public that this farce is making any money. But, in the end it doesn't matter if this movie totally flops. Hollyweird will hail it as a cinematic "masterpiece" and it will sweep the oscars.

I agree. I have never heard of a movie being evaluated on its "per screen average." There is obviously an agenda.

When you walk into a Tampa theater and count the number of people on a Friday night watching Brokeback...and its less than 60...you've got profit issues. There is a profit margin for every theater...and if a movie can carry it...you dump it quickly. Well...in this case...there are probably 40 theaters throughout the nation...half in LA or San Fran which are profitable on this movie. The rest are spread throughout the country. It simply isn't making any major profit.

Yup...I love seeing Hollywierd and it's lickspittles twist themselves in paroxysms of joy in support of "Flaming Saddles"...

It's SOP to quote the grosses as a per screen average. Anything over $3,000/screen is decent box office.

The point here is that this drivel will not carry over beyond the few large metropolitan areas where it's been released.

Sadly, this will not prevent gay reviewers from swooning over its putrid content. It might even get some Academy Award recognition (which has been rumored to be fixed ever since "American Beauty" won Best Picture.)
