Just announced on Fox News, the Justice Department is going to investigate leaks pertaining to Goverment Wiretapping and Security programs.
This news has put me in a GREAT mood! We need to punish those who endangered our country's security. This will scare 'em good!

I hate those Sandy Burglar flashbacks. Such hope of a bigger response then the total letdown. I hope this one won't be that way.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's been an ongoing sting operation for quite a while. And frankly, insert tin foil hat here, I think the sting was more about certain individuals actually involved in taking money from the enemy. I keep saying this, but the entire world including third-rate African countries knew about Saddam's oil for food and NOBODY in big, mighty American knew a thing?
How about Newsweak's burning the koran story? I definitely think that could have been part of a sting. A sting done very carefully to follow the dots. Say a WH staffer is recruited to spread the story. The WH staffer pretends to be discontent with the admin and leaks to, say John McCain or Jay Rockefeller, news about the admin learning that a soldier at Gitmo burned a prisoner's Koran. Boom, Newsweek prints the story. They then follow the dots.
Even more disturbing, I really think there are people in this country, judges and congress critters, state dept defnitely, CIA...that were involved in that oil for food and are now willing to destroy this country, via destroying Bush, to cover their hides. By setting up this sting the admin's been able to follow the bread crumbs, then maybe do some investigating into their activities in the 90's. Lord Biden once held a fundraiser with a big poobah in Iran as a special guest. This is just the stuff we KNOW about.
The admin had to get Condi in state, Goss in CIA, Bolton at the UN....there's a pattern here.
Ask me about the Plame thing. I'm convinced that was a big sting operation. With, get this, J Miller and Woodward being CIA operatives.
Okay, so I write fiction. But the fiction in my mind looms more into sight every day.

Maybe a night-time breakin with automatic weapons and storm-trooper goggles - something similar say to the way that dangerous criminal, Elian Gonzales, was treated a few years ago - would be appropriate. But no, that would be too much like Clinton/Reno, and this involves only a leaker of top-secret national security information.
ABC Radio just quoting some professor saying the DOJ leak investigation does a disservice to the public since the media is attempting to protect all Americans.
