I missed the FISA judge...what is his name?
Agree with you "110%" on Rockefeller - likely a very strong "person of interest."

YES!!! Something that REALLY needed to be investigated, rather than that lame Plame "non-leak"!
Okay. What's a frog march??

I'm confused. Is there going to be a statement or not?

Heard the exact same thing. Why am I not surpirsed that some RAT law professor would think this way.
Protecting Americans, my rear end. Protecting anti-Americans is more like it.

Definition of frogmarch:
v.
1. to march a person against his will by any method.
2. to carry someone against his will upside down such that each limb is held by one person.

Talk about the potential for a real "reality" tv program.
What a money maker that would be...run ads, PPV...anything to apply to national debt!
Freepers alone would probably be a huge enough audience with reasonable "discretionary income" to support the admen.

I wouldn't be surprised if the DoJ announcement was timed specifically because of Risen's book release next week. Matter of fact, that could be the ONLY reason this was announced. It will be interesting to see if the release date is postponed.

I know that.
It doesn't mean they have access to the information the FISA judge does.

--Is this the Mother of All Bush/Rove Rope-A-Dopes? Did Bush purposely let the MSM push the envelope with the wiretap story, knowing they would cross the line? Was Bush's plea to not run the story a warning in disguise? With respect to your musings, may I remind you and all FReepers of this:

*****
One final note on George W. Bushs management style and his Harvard Business School background does not derive from the classroom, per se. One feature of life there is that a subculture of poker players exists. Poker is a natural fit with the inclinations, talents, and skills of many future entrepreneurs. A close reading of the odds, combined with the ability to out-psych the opposition, leads to capital accumulation in many fields, aside from the poker table.
By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W. Bushs political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he bides his time, does not respond forcefully, at least at first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent passivity only goads them into making their case more emphatically.

You may be proven right.

journalists now never leave the office - they just make a bunch of phone calls - it's not like they somehow tracked down the information by legwork and hard work - this stuff was handed to them on a platter - arrest the whole lot of them...journalists and leakers alike
Throw in a few good and trusted computer forensic people....I'm getting overwhelmed just thinking of the possibilities!
