Paterno is a conservative, friends with GHW Bush and campaigned for him in 1988, even giving a speech at the '88 Republican National Convention.
A couple years ago, his son Scott won a hotly contested Republican congressional primary election, but lost in the general election to the Democrat incumbent.
This is why NOW can't stand this fine man. Therefore, they'll do anything to make him look bad, or try to bring him down.

Paterno has been around too long for anything like this to bring him down. He's a good man and there is NO ONE gonna listen to the NOW gang trying to make something out of this.
