These ads have totally backfired on the libs. They've insulted just about everybody and everything in them including the US, the Bush Administration, our Military, etc... and it's showing in the polls which are hinting at a possible Conservative majority government.
I ran into a Vancouver gal last week, here in a Tacoma tavern, who went out of her way to tell me George Bush was was a stupid SOB and was f***ing up the US and Canada was next. I wish I knew about those ads then. It was actually kind of funny becuse she wasn't expecting to get an earful from a "polite" uniformed police officer. I can be such a buzz killer.
The left-wingers here are way over the top on bashing the Americans. It's the same old dem talking points up here "illegal iraq war for oil", "Saddam wasn't a threat", yada yada yada, blah blah blah. It's fun to debate them because they just get angry and start screaming Michael Moore quotes.... ah, good times!!!

Yeah, I pretty much bitched her out for coming here to talk smack and laid out some facts about the war for her in a loud voice. Thats my story I'm sticking too. OTH, I rather enjoy seeing PPCLI troops from Edmonton when they're in town.
They're getting desperate so I'm sure Mike's just around the corner waiting to pounce, LOL!
It's funny how little these morons actually know about the war, in fact we've had Canadian troops in Iraq for quite some time now but of course that would be political suicide to admit for the libs during a campaign. It's unfortunate that they have such a pathetic political platform so they must always resort to offending and insulting our biggest ally and trading partner. Shameful, but this time around it's not working, the Canadian public are starting to turn against them.

It makes no sense to me.
We didn't have a choice to make, the elections begin and end in vote-rich southern Ontario. The rest of us have no voice whatsoever. I moved from Ontario to Alberta because I just have nothing in common politically with voters that continue to elect a corrupt government with no values, morals or loyalty to our allies. Hopefully the Americans don't mistakingly confuse the views of our far-left liberal media with those of the real Canadian public.
I'm tired of this Canadian Conservative lament.
It can't be that difficult to convince a nation that the neighbor to the south that has saved its bacon all the way throughout its existence deserves some support.
If you can't control your utterly ungrateful radical bunch, don't expect us to want to make nicey-nice.
It's the same reason that the US liberals attack the Bush Administration's policies down there... because they have no real platform to stand behind. The Canadian public (the workers) do business with the Americans all the time and feel a great respect and admiration for the courage it takes to take on the terrorists. The liberals have been warned not to offend our biggest trading partner before by by trying to score political points during a campaign but they just keep doing it. Frankly it's offending not only the Canadian public but for once it's also offending most of the liberal journalists.
Just saw an ad. They said Harper talk to a right wing american think tank and he said they were an inspiration etc. Didn't name the think tank. Don't know who they mean. Very strange.
We (Canadian Conservatives) are doing everything that we can to try and change the government in this country. Keep in mind that we are against not only the liberal party (who throw money at the nanny-state voters by the billions), but also the far-left NDP, the seperatist BQ and the Green Party. That's 1 right-wing party that is only 2 years old against 4 far-left socialist parties and we are still leading nationwide in the polls.
