Well, Steve Gunderson wasn't all that bad, was he? And if you believe some rumors (which I don't), some of the more conservative members of Congress are in the closet.
As for self destruction, you forgot to mention Ed Schrock.
I wasn't too thrilled with Gunderson personally. I think it was Bob Dornan that told a story about Gunderson at some party they were at that was rather unflattering, to say the least.

I know some names, but I won't mention them publicly (since I don't want to give the DU trolls any info -- or I might simply be in error).

Schrock was merely a blip on the radar. I at least commend him for stepping down quietly and creating no damaging problems (in stark contrast to Mr. Hinson).
