A damned fine choice. (Cream was powerful and prolific). I'd also submit: "Fire" and "Purple Haze" and "Crosstown Traffic" from Hendrix- Are You Experienced?. Blew me away then - and still amazes me.

I got the Cream reunion concert on DVR and after 35 years is better than anything I heard for last 30!

Ummm......take it from a major Clapton fan and rock guitarist since 1968.......VERY much subject to argument, my friend. Clapton has done some stellar work, no doubt, but his solo in "Crossroads" was.....ummm......let's just say .....NOT his best work. Doesn't belong anywhere near such a list.
