Saving Baby Whales, Killing Babies
NewsMax.Com ^ | Jan. 25, 2006 | Philip V. Brennan

It was a two-day media sensation – a baby whale had somehow got itself lost in the Thames River and while British rescuers sought to carry it out to sea before it died, television stations in the U.S. and Britain carried hour-by-hour updates of the saga, tugging at the heartstrings of viewers across the globe. The plight and subsequent death of this one animal was treated as a major tragedy.

In the same two days, some 8,000 unborn American babies were butchered in their mothers' wombs – their murders taking place out of sight and out of mind. Just all in a day's work – merely an unnoticed addition to the ghastly statistics that show that over 40 million innocent unborn infants have been killed since the United States decided that it was a woman's constitutional right to turn her womb into an execution chamber.

Nobody in the overwhelmingly pro-abortion media saw fit to draw a comparison between the near-heroic efforts to save the life on one baby whale, which attracted so much of their attention and compassion, and the unnoticed murders of 8,000 unborn American human beings in the same time period. That's how low we have sunk.

We're going to pay a price for our complicity in this wholesale slaughter of the unborn – despite the claims of the secularists who sneer at the concept of Divine retribution, a God who loves his children, a God who is Justice itself, cannot be expected to be a mere bystander at the spectacle of his most innocent children, the unborn, being the victims of wholesale, for-profit butchery.

Think about it. Abortion is more than a word or a simple medical procedure. It is a grisly practice that involves chopping unborn humans into tiny pieces, using vacuum tubes to demolish and suck them out, poisoning them, and, in the most horrific of all forms of abortion – the infanticide of partial-birth abortion – dragging them most of the way out of the womb, jamming a pair of scissors into the base of their skulls, inserting a vacuum tube and sucking their living brains out as they writhe in agony.

Politicians and the billion-dollar abortion industry prate about what they deceptively term "a woman's right to choose." They carefully ignore the unborn human being who is the victim of that right to choose. It is given no right to choose to live.

And it is a human being. Medical science is unanimous in stating that human life begins at the moment of conception, when everything that makes a human being human is present in its DNA, from the color its hair will be, to the height it will reach, to the power of its intellect – to what kind of a person it will turn out to be.

Poll after poll has demonstrated that the overwhelming majority of Americans believe that abortion is murder, plain and simple. Incredibly, they also believe that a woman has the right to execute the child in her womb – to allow her child to die a horrendous death without ever being allowed to experience the life God willed that it should have.

The agreement with the fallacy that a woman can abrogate the will of God makes everyone who believes that complicit in the crime of the murder of the unborn. Every time they step into a voting booth and cast a vote for a politician who supports abortion they become his or her accomplice in the killing of the 40 million unborn Americans already murdered and the 4,000 more who are slain in abortion mills every day of the year.

They ignore the shameful spectacle of a major political party blatantly and proudly displaying their craven obeisance to the abortion industry that has bought their voices and their votes, as America is now witnessing in the matter of the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito to be a justice of the Supreme Court. The Democrat Party is proving that it is owned lock, stock and barrel by today's version of Murder, Inc. – Planned Parenthood and its competitors in the business of slaughtering the innocent.

If you fit into that category of willing accomplices, you have blood on your hands. And even if you can't see it, God can. You and all of America will be hearing from Him soon. It won't be pretty.

Warning! The description of how abortions are performed is not nice. I hate reading material that defines abortion so explicitly. Perhaps if more people understood what happens to a fetus, more people would abhor the procedure.

We had a whale come up the river to Sacramento one time. They named the thing even. People came out in droves to see it. He has been sited in the SF bay a few times since.

Abortion is the new Holocaust. There's no other way to see it.

One of my favorite t-shirts reads:
Be a hero, save a whale
Save a baby, go to jail

It still amazes me how many people will come up to me and ask me to explain what it means... That's why, to the utter embarrassment of my teenage daughter, I wear pro-life t-shirts wherever I go. I like to think of myself as a walking billboard.

So, you don't see any difference between an unborn human baby, created in God's image, and a steer? All I can say is that I pity you.

You can "buy it" now, while you still can, or you can wait until it's too late and you are facing it. Your choice.

Last night on Foxnews... I heard Frist explicitly state that, Yes, he would want Roe V Wade overturned. Interesting... some say the Republican leadership dangles the abortion issue in front of pro lifers.

They say it a conspiracy...

Give it a few more year, another Supreme Court justice, a few more "mother" deaths (can you say Ephedra - what if Anna Kournikova died from an abortion procedure) and something will be done.

Do you remember Ashcroft? He attempt to get redacted medical records and the left was up in arms....

>>We're going to pay a price for our complicity in this wholesale slaughter of the unborn...<<

We probably already are but don't expect to hear it from the liberal or conservative ostriches.

I love beef that has been tenderized and slow cooked. A splash of A1 sauce enhances the favor.

I recogize that this world has predators and prey.

Cheers to good beef (except in India)

I suppose being able to have compassion both on baby whales and baby humans is out of the question.

A very good Catholic priest recently put it this way:

God's "anger" is not about the desire of vengeance. It's about God's insatiable desire to "set things right".

Perfect balance in the world would imply the lack of sin. Tremendous sin creates tremendous imbalance, and God's will is to return balance through "justice", sometimes referred to as "punishment" by those who are guilty. But God is also merciful, thus, He will remember His promise to return balance in one fell swoop, as He did with Noah. God's mercy affords mankind the opportunity to push the scales back towards balance with our actions. But if we decide, instead, to push the scales radically in the other direction (i.e., even further out of whack), it becomes more likely that God will restore balance (to some extent) through His justice (or punishment, if you're part of the problem).

There's no way for us, as humans, to measure God's mercy or His patience, or what compels Him to act at one point and time and not another. But the lesson of Sodom and Gommorah is thus: God is merciful to the end, even unto just ten good people living in the city of unspeakable sin. But there comes a point where justice prevails. Abortion is intrinsically evil, as is sodomy. God will give us every opportunity, out of mercy to the innocent, to correct the errors of our society. Someday, that patience will yield to justice. It could take hundreds or thousands of years for God to act against an entire community. But all it takes is the stop of one heartbeat for God to render His justice to each one of us as individuals. The only endtime you and I need to worry about with urgency involves looking both ways when crossing the street. If we all did that (figuratively, of course), society would change.

Typo: He will remember His promise NOT to return balance in one fell swoop, as He did with Noah
