Actually, He just promised not to do it by a flood. THe next return to balance in one fell swoop will be at the second coming, and I do not want to think about what will happen to the abortionists then.

The Canaanites were driven out of their land by Israel partially because of their use of child sacrifices. Is there any difference between sacrificing a child to Molech and sacrificing a child to convenience?

Only the euphamisms.

Considering that the Canaanites believed that they were "buying" protection from their enemies with the child sacrifices, protection for the whole community, I think what they were doing was less horrible than killing a child for someone's convenience! Yet God judged them severely, what's in store for our country?

Mom MD - I agree that, as I mentioned, God's mercy will eventually yield to justice if mankind doesn't taken upon himself to change his ways. I have a problem, however, with prognosticating this as an imminent event. How many hundreds of millions of souls were slaughtered at the hands of communism in the USSR, China, N. Korea, Indochina, etc.? Did their blood not equally cry out to the heavens for justice? Soviet communism fell (though it's still lingering with Putin), but the other entities are still committing their inhumanity without impunity.

Perhaps it would be better to call it a perfect storm of evil, with abortion, totalitarian communism, and the threat of nuclear terrorism as the symptoms of man's wholesale turning away from God in the 20th century. That's pretty much undebatable. But there's just no way to know the depth of God's patience and mercy. That's all I'm saying.
