Wamp’s wife in intensive care due to kidney infection
Eds: May be LED.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — The wife of U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp was in an intensive care unit Monday at a Chattanooga hospital because of a kidney infection from a kidney stone, according to a statement from the Tennessee Republican’s office.
Kim Wamp was admitted to Erlanger Health System’s Baroness Campus during the weekend. She was in stable but critical condition Monday, according to a statement from Wamp’s Washington office.
Her age wasn’t immediately available.
“Kim and I will only ask for everyone’s continued prayers and patience as we look forward to her full recovery,” Wamp said in a statement.
Wamp represents the 3rd District, which includes Chattanooga.

Prayers for Wamps family. This is a very serious matter. A UTI can easily lead to pneumonia and Congestive Heart Failure rather quickly. It's nothing to wait around with and is a very Emergency Room worthy ailment.

My wife had one last summer and pneumonia and CHF set in. I didn't realize how serious it was till I saw the look on our primary care doctors face at the hospital.
