$1.5 Million? The painting looks like a paint spill at Home Depot.

$1.5 million for that!? I've got an old painting drop cloth that looks like this painting. Perhaps I should contact the museum.

That's not art, that's crap!

The kid did the thing a favor. My kid brings home better stuff in tempera paint from kindergarten.

Is that blue thing the stain from the gum?

Ugh ... the "painting" is garbage ... but it's not his garbage. Damaging it was wrong.

The gum could only have been an improvement!

Who'd pay over a million for that painting?

Oh, like it matters on that thing. No one would ever notice.

Hm.. I actually like it. Not that I'd pay $1.5 million for it, or even $1.5 hundred ... but it's interesting.

$1.5 Million for that "art" seems a seriously inflated value to me.

When I look at that atrociously overpriced blotch of paint, "The Emperor's New Clothes" comes to mind. The real art is in the writeup next to the painting-----the one that convinces art snobs that they are looking at a work of genius.

Obviously he was just trying to add a little texture and depth to an otherwise pointless and boring canvas.

I have to say, this piece is quite inspiring. I never thought i had any artistic talent and therefore long ago put away my crayons in despair but now i realize it doesn't take talent to make big bucks in the art world. Come to think of it, i imagine i probably have some kindergarten work that very much resembles this.

I mean honestly, this type of "art" is something i'd expect to see hanging up in some 2nd grade classroom and even then i doubt it'd be voted the best picture of the class.

On second thought, maybe it wasn't that bad a crime. At least not as much as that painting being worth that much money.

I'd like to meet the person who would actually pay $1.5 million for this er, piece of art. I have some pictures on the refrigerator painted by my 7 year-old grandson that I'd let go for the bargain price of say, $600 thou.

That stuff deserves much more than gum stuck on it. Some modern artist needs to crap all over it and call it his art.
