Can I ask for your thoughts and prayers, dad has pre op meeting tomorrow and if blood and ECG results OK the actual cardioversion to get his heart beating in rhythm on Wednesday. You, and he, have them. Compared to what he's getting set to do I feel a little sheepish for blithering on about what I'm going to do.
There's one piece of advice that I found to be helpful way back when I was driving an ambulance and it's still true. Those who have loved ones who are in this sort of situation need to make sure that they take care of themselves, too. You won't do him any good if you're burned out. Make sure you take care of snugs through all of this.
May I also say that he is a very proper looking gentleman. Or am I being cheeky?
Sorry, that's what we American's think folks from the "old country" talk like. It comes from watching old BBC shows like Duchess of Duke Street on PBS. Of course, I did name my two youngest Charles Bruce and Victoria Elizabeth, though all but Victoria are family names.

Thank you for your kind words, I like the proper gentlemen. My dad comes from the school of not even going up the garden without a tie on :0).
To all - I am logging off now will probably be around on the dose later but going to watch some TV now.
Thanks as always for the great company, we may not always agree on everything but I think on this thread we do it in a civilized reasoned way which is great and leads to good discussion and gets the old brain cells going.
See you all either next week or at award giving time.
Keep healthy and safe - God Bless you and God Bless America
All the best
