I heard on the radio (John Batchelor?) a guy knocking PSH for getting the Oscar nomination for Capote. Basically, he said, "How hard is it to do Truman Capote? That's like giving an Oscar to an Ethel Merman impersonator."
It is one of the better performances I have seen. I can't really compare him to the real Capote because I have never seen him, but he is completely believable in the role. It seems like he is Capote and not impersonating him. That this is Lester Bangs from Almost Famous is incredible to me.
