I did not see ONE freeper in favor of the china deal. Protest, FReeps, emails, letter writing, calling elected officials. Worried about chinese military using their control for missiles and terrorist acts. They were as vehemently against the china deal as we are to the UAE deal. It was really an eyeopener to see FReepers singing a different tune now.

A few representative links. Something quite interesting to me is that much of the objection came during GWB's watch! Must have been a hold-over effect, as Presindet Bush hadn't been in office but a few months when the April 2001 actions were going down.

But there was a strong anti-China reaction even later than 2003.
