Just to make you jealous, I stood beside Condi for almost three hours in Austin on Election Night 2000 waiting for Dubya to come out and address the crowd after he'd been declared the victor. We were bumping arms and hips right there in the crowd, talking for hours as we tried to figure out what was going on.
She finally gave up and left around 2 am. I gave up about 30 minutes later.
Our proximity was a complete act of chance. She didn't exactly single me out to stand by. ;-)
