"Stategery?" Nope. He signed an unConstitutional bill into law, thus violating his oath of office.

It's called strategery,

It's called not having the balls or principles to use the veto pen once in over five years despite the bad legislation that continually crosses his desk. After 2000, I knew the libs and McCain-types would continue to push bad legislation, but I figured that a conservative president would veto it. I was wrong. Apparently politics matters more than principles, and even our Constitution.

Your defense of him despite his clear wrongdoing has now outed you as a BushBot.

Thank you, Mr. Reagan. Let's keep things honest. The first and only time I recall President Bush even mentioning his "veto pen" it was to defend the Dubai ports deal.

I'm still fuming over that. Not just the Dubai deal, but the way President Bush threatened to defend it.

Veto pen? What the ...???? VETO PEN???!!!??? HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A VETO PEN IS!!!!

If these YAH-HOOS pull this crap for real, I think that we should file a class action suit or some such and have the Supreme Court decide. I'm pretty sure that SCOTUS would slap McCain-Feingold down like a Pimp slappin' an errant Hoe.

Is he even a native of your state? Wikipedia says he was born in (or on?) the Panama Canal.

He inflicted himself on AZ, nothing for you to apologize.
I guess efforts had to be concentrated on the Presidential election in 2004, so McCain slithered back into office.
The same here in Cali; we should be ashamed for not ousting Babs (Dumb as a Box) Boxer.

Now, we concentrate on keeping McMaverick away from the 2008 nomination.

Ironically, it will be the dying MSM, because as they seek to recover lost subscribers by increasing their online web presence, any restrictions on Internet-originated political speech will be tightening the noose even further around THEIR necks. For that reason alone, they will pour their not-inconsequential legal resources into this fight.

The 'net via bloggers and forums is the main reason the asinine media is dying.

True enough. And the MSM recognizes that if they are to have any chance of survival, they must try to adapt themselves to the very medium that bloggers and forums have been using to shred them into little pieces.

At first, the newspapers and networks dismissed the Internet as being nothing more than a fad, but when the declining numbers of viewers and subscribers proved it was more than a fad, they began to increase their online presence, and that is their only hope to avoid extinction.

Personally I think such efforts by the MSM will be too little, and too late.

Looks good on them.

To think, I was debating a FReeper recently who didn't think McCain is so-bad. McCain is evil and will demolish our rights if ever elected to President. He has to go away. He has no regard for the Bill of Rights. If he is elected President, we will likely be forced to house members of the military in our private residences.

Judging from a thread now over a 1000 posts, I'd wager the vast majority here at least agree with you...and me...and Jim Robinson that McCain isn't worthy of our support. McCain has managed only to engineer the support of about two or three? straight talk express converts. And only about a half dozen party advocates. Not looking too good for a second try at the express in '08. LOL

"I really don't think McCain wants Internet speech shut down and I don't think there's a snowball in hell's chance of it happening."

Sure he does! In some ways, mc cains past is similar to kerry......he knows he will NEVER survive a presidential run after seeing what happened to kerry mostly thru the internet. He sees perfectly well how the internet has grown since his last attempt. He fears his past, which the MSM has previously ignored.

LOL! You shadow DUmmies kill me.

Check the signup dates bot. I've got you beat at FR by over 5 months. I'll stack my conservative views against yours any time. Principle counts. When Bush does good, I'm with him but, unlike you, when he does bad I'm against him.

This is why John McCain MUST NEVER be nominated for President. He is the cosponsor (with that LOON, Feingold) of the McCain-Feingold Campaign "Reform" Law, the WORST piece of legislation in years.

I don't think too many folks would disagree with your point....

However, that does not answer the question: Vote or not to vote if it is McCain against the Beast?...Some say they simply will not vote....Others take the Perot rout and in effect will vote third party..thereby electing the Beast. "Pride goeth before the fall"....Or something like that.
