SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif. - Explosives experts defused a homemade bomb found in the backseat of a car early Friday after the driver was stopped for speeding in this eastern Los Angeles suburb, authorities said.

The bomb was defused safely, but several industrial businesses in the area were evacuated and a main boulevard was closed for more than three hours.

About three months after 9/11 I was hauling four 55 gallon drums of diesel on my 6' x 8' trailer up one of the four lane highways here. Understand that I am 6'1" 240 lbs of big very white guy. When the Sergeant showed up it was all over shortly and he was laughing his a$$ off at the Deputy. Insanity is rampant these days. We inspect old ladies down to their support hose at the airport while clearly Muslim men pass by with not a word.
