This is my first vanity post, so be nice!

I just heard on FoxNews that the meat packing company "Tyson" will be closing Monday to allow their employees so march in the protest on May 1st, whihc is this coming Monday. Are they an American company? They seem to forget they it's "Americans that purchase their product and keep them in business.... I also left them an email on thier website stating my feelings on them supporting this protest march...

Okay, I feel better now..... Thank you! Pleasse also go to the Tyson website and leave them an email as to how you feel....

I work in a hospital and used to do the workmans compensation cases for the local Tyson plants. THEY use so many illegal criminals that the local US citizens have a hard time finding work.I will call the two local plants and tell them I will never buy another Tyson product (already to that, never liked the bent one's buddy Tyson)

How about boycotting the liberals in 2006 (both parties) for causing and allowing this to happen in the first place. We are losing our country faster than I have ever witnessed (including under Klintoon in the 90's).

If they don't hire ILLEGALS why would they be forced to close? The only companies that will be missing workers are the ones who hire ILLEGALS. It is well documented that LEGAL immigrants(not ILLEGAL ALIENS) do not support the ILLEGALS for it makes the sacrifices they went through to get here and obtain legal resident status and citizenship meaningless!

"We should each start a chain letter to 10 people asking each one to pass it on to 10 people."

A version could be made for dim liberal friends, explaining that Tyson "exploits poor undocumented workers". The republican version would simply say that "Tyson uses illegals".

FYI I intend to bump this thread with excerpts of prior FReeper threads about Tyson.

This is to educate people on why Tyson is the right target to demonstrate internet solidarity.

I am also asking everybody to start chain letters to all their friends and acquaintances inviting them to join the boycott.

I am also asking everybody to Fax their Senators to vote against Guest worker/Amnesty.

I would appreciate it if you guys would join in and keep it going. I am going to be busy and short of time. We need to get to the Senators quickly.

An employee of Tyson Foods in Shelbyville has tested positive for tuberculosis, according to complex manager Michael Sheets. The employee has been sent home, while 64 others working in the same department have been given skin tests for the disease. The company has also been educating employees about the disease. There was no word by 4 p.m. Friday on the skin test results from the 64 others tested. According to the Merck Manual of Medical Information, Home Edition, a positive skin test for tuberculosis does not necessarily mean that the subject actually has the disease. Eight former Tyson Foods employees are suing the company, alleging it hires illegal employees to reduce the hourly pay. The suit alleges that legal hourly workers "have been victimized by a scheme perpetrated both by Tyson and through a conspiracy among its top management" to reduce their pay "by knowingly hiring a workforce substantially comprised of undocumented illegal immigrants." ___________________________________________________________________________________
