It's essentially a plea bargain. There was probably an arrest or booking in the technical sense, just in order to get the process started. I doubt there was even a mugshot. The charges will be entirely dismissed.

Rush paid them $30 grand to make them go away. It gives the prosecutor some minor sense of victory, but it keeps Rush's record clean.

He paid Black far more than $30 grand, so it's not as if Rush came out of this with no real harm.

It was a senseless political prosecution. I'm glad it's over.

That's what I was thinking. The DUmmies will be deeply saddened that there's no speedy trip to the electric chair.

A spokesman for Rush Limbaugh said some news reports that state Mr. Limbaugh was arrested are inaccurate.

Can't have it both ways. Either he was arrested or he wasn't. Someone give us a definition of " arrested"!

Actually, there was a mugshot:

They needed one for the media to plaster all over the Sunday talkshows.

Not least of which may have been the total loss of his hearing.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Rush arrived with his attorney at the Palm Beach county jail. Surrendered and was booked on a warrant charging him with "doctor shopping," when a patient illegally deceives multiple physicians to receive overlapping prescriptions. He was photographed, fingerprinted and released after posting a $3000 bail

This is identical to what Ronnie Earle did to Tom DeLay and the type thing the Democrats will attempt to use to impeach Bush and Cheny if they regain the House in 2006. It is an attempted coup by prosecution on phony charges and perhaps abetted by liberal judges.

They have tried to decapitate the conservative movement by eliminating its strongest players. Need any more incentive to help get out the vote in November?
