Valentine leads town hall meeting against illegal immigration

RANKLIN – A boisterous, patriotic group waved American flags and rallied Thursday night against illegal immigration and the politicians they say are allowing it.

The contingent, numbering nearly 1,000, packed The Factory in Franklin to hear local radio talk show host Phil Valentine lead the town hall meeting against illegal immigration in a pitch entitled Demagnetize America.

The grassroots gathering continues a movement toward curbing illegal immigration in the state and country while immigrant rights groups protest in streets across America. And as those trends gain momentum, politicians are feeling constituents heat in a dicey election-year issue.

But Thursday, that issue was simple for the crowd – do everything possible to stop illegal immigrants.

To get the crowd going, Valentine talked about how undocumented workers were hurting the American economy and disagreeing with the argument that American’s won’t do some of the jobs the illegal immigrants will do.

“It’s a vicious cycle of greed and corruption,” Valentine said of employers hiring illegal immigrants.

Valentine then presented a list of demands to reform immigration, each receiving a loud cheer from the noisy throng. The demands included a $20,000 fine for employer’s knowingly hiring illegal immigrants and the same levy for a bank giving a loan or mortgage to an illegal alien.

If an employer or a bank repeats those offenses, Valentine demanded they have their business license or bank license revoked, respectively.

Lastly, Valentine proposed that illegal immigrants be punishable under the same laws as prostitutes for soliciting work on the side of the street.

While Valentine spoke, David Kent, a machinist from Cottontown, Tenn., was waving a “Remember Sept. 11” flag and remarking that the terrorists who carried out the attacks “were illegal immigrants.”

There were a number of FReepers there I'm told. I was at the last one held at Centennial Park last year where Minutemen spoke.

I would have made this one but for family personal matters.

Phil Valentine is a deacon in my SBC church and works very hard on this issue. God bless him.

We had a lot of success stopping a state income tax two or three years ago with Phil leading the charge.

Little by little folks. Let them hang themselves with their Reconquista marches and remember to boycott any business that supports them and their marches.

We must fight back.

Free my pal Matt Bracken Now!!!!!!!!! (please)

and remember to boycott any business that supports them and their marches.

And don't boycott just one time or for one day. Boycott forever. Don't ever buy their products or services. It works!

This is an excerpt from the DCF page homesite. so, if you read the bottom paragraph, does it make you wonder if your own state has such wonderful things to offer to illegal aliens?

Welcome to Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). If you need help in completing this application or need interpreter services, please contact an Economic Self-Sufficiency Office or Authorized Community Partner. We need at least your name, address, and a signature. However, please complete the entire application, providing as much information as you can, to help us determine your eligibility quickly. Processing begins the day we receive your application. Your application is dated the day you submit your application using the electronic signature or the next business day if submitted after hours or on a weekend or holiday. However please allow us 15 to 30 days to process your application. Some applications for Medicaid may take longer if we need to determine if someone is disabled. Normal business hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P. M. local time, Monday through Friday. Household members who are ineligible, or who are not applying for benefits, may be designated as non-applicants. Non-applicants, or persons applying only for Emergency Medicaid,Refugee Cash Assistance, or Refugee Medical Assistance, are NOT required to provide a Social Security Number (SSN).

If you were not eligible for an SSN because of your immigration status, you may be eligible for a non-work SSN to receive the benefits that require one. If you need an SSN, we can help you apply for one. Non-applicants are NOT required to provide proof of immigration status. Non-citizens who are applying for benefits will have their immigration status verified with the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS). We will not tell BCIS about the immigration status of those living in your household who are not applying for benefits. Under no circumstances will individuals who are not applying for benefits be reported as not lawfully residing in the United States.

I was there, And the anti state income tax rallies as well. Great time & good info. I was able to talk Mrs. Boiling point, (luke warm), who has no interest in things political. She had a great time, learned allot and is now on the bandwagon.

I know from what you've said before your part of the state has way more than it's share of illegals. Tennessee is becoming a haven no doubt about it. I can't get to Nashville not with my vehicles. The best I can do now is letters to Frist & Alexander. Of course I could open the door and scream it with about as much positive results.

But if anyone can get a good protest going against this Phil Valentine is the one. Have you heard anything on where the governor stands on this?

re: same levy for a bank giving a loan or mortgage to an illegal alien)))

It would also be helpful to asess a penalty of some sort to landlords who provide aid and comfort. And how about putting a huge tax on electronic transfers from the US to Mexico?

LEts hope and pray that this is a whimper that becomes a roar.

Politicians in Washington and state capitals who forget who pays their paycheck and elects them to office, who forget their vows to protect and defend the Constituion of the United States and their constituents' best interests - should be flushed down the bowl at election time - all of them.
