You didn't refer to my sentence where I stated that the Contractor lied to you! : )

The problem is that we have a system which allows one person to take benefits from the other. You can live for free just because someone else pays your medical bills. This system is called socialism, and this is what is bad!The illegals wouldn't be here if they could not sponge off the free medical care, government welfare programs and free schooling. Add the "motor voter" BS and you have non-citizens voting for Democrats who want more socialist programs to bring more non-citizens in to vote for them. Cut off the birthright citizenship and welfare programs. Purge the voter rolls and require proof of citizenship to register to vote.

I am 100% correct. Do a little reading up here....
http://people-press.org/ and you'll see exactly how much the illegals bleed off the taxpayers of our country like leaches.
Ok, so you're saying the the for profit hospitals that are going under each month because illegals use the emergency rooms as their own "walk in medical clinics" are going out of business because they are "socialist"?
You're saying that the need for building new schools just to educate the droves of illegals is because of socialism?
I say it is a scam being run on the taxpayers of the US by chickenshit politicians who don't want to "offend" the Hispanics by enforcing the laws regarding hiring of illegals / border security and all the rest of this BS that goes along with it.
Where does the honest taxpayer come into your bogus argument?

Where do you think these illegals live? They pay rent, and house owners pay property taxes. And where does that property tax go? They pack the houses and the property owener would pay tax whether or not they were renting to illegals or anyone else.
Illegals take almost 30% more than the imaginary "put into the ieconomy."
You are the one in the dream world -- who do you think shut down the local hospitals (as happened here in my area)? Illegals who didn't pay for services and eventually the government couldn't keep up. So they shut it down.
Every death that happens as a result of that hospital being closed is at the feet of the illegals.
And their supporters.

They are attempting to over throw the rule of law and sovereignty of this nation. That is far more important than what the economy is doing.
To: blueberry12
"Why don't you stand up against Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security?"
Okay. Let's do that.
From the L.A. Times Newspaper:
Nearly 60 percent of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal aliens.
Less than 2 percent of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29 percent are on welfare.
Over 2/3's of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
The cost of illegal immigration to the American taxpayer (after subtracting taxes paid by illegals) in 1997 was a net $70 billion (from Rice University).
Just to name a few facts.

I have no school age kids and I get hit for $3,400 per year in property taxes on my residence. Most of that is funding for schools.

"...to say nothing of the loss of soverignty, the mockery of our system of laws and our Constitution, and our borders have become a sick party joke." That says it all.

Good for you... I don't speak to my brother. He favors Che Guevarra over someone like Reagan. Also, I can't stand to hear him indoctrinate his children. He regularly tells them to "share the wealth" and this isn't Barney - the Purple Dinosaur.
Poor kids, they don't have a choice as to whether they will be victims or not... they are victims.
And all this --- just because he is bitter that he didn't have the heart to finish college.

" but remember that illegal immigrants are not allowed to pay taxes."
More BS..... you can get a workers ID number from SS and show no proof of citizenship. GWB saw to this when he did his stupid "normalization" of SS deal with Mexico.
Now Illegals can apply for and receive valid SS numbers and actually begin to collect 12 quarters before LEGAL US born citizens.

Let's put all this aside and agree for the sake of argument that illegals contribute to the tax base via income, property, S/S, sales tax, etc., and utilize public health, education & social services in proportion to the their numbers the same as US citizens.
Are you saying that we, as a sovereign nation, do not have the right of self-determination in regulating our borders, and have the obligation of accepting any illegal alien from any country that comes here to work? Furthermore, are you saying that Mexicans, by virtue of sharing a border, have greater rights than Chinese, Indians or any another billion or so people that would work even harder than Mexicans?

To: goodnesswins
Try again. They are not paying BELOW legal minimums or Incredibly low.....
And you know this because...? How about if you elaborate on your position. Are you under the impression that illegals are being paid: A. above market wages B. market wages C. below market wages? Of course, we'll have to define market wages as wages that the market would have borne without the surplus labor provided by illegals. So how about it?

"Most people enter the US illegally because the legal process is extemely slow and costly."
Using that logic, we should go hold up banks because
earning a living honestly is extremely slow and costly
Well said OkieDoke. I fail to see how anything "illegal" can be a boon to the U.S. economy. Why stop at illegal workers? Why not include illegal drugs, consumer products, fuel, and politicians as well? This article is nothing but a slap in the face to legal immigrants.

"large supply of immigrants has displaced low-skilled U.S.-born workers"I think this is Justice at work.
Please explain.
Government dictates workers cannot be employed for less than minimum wage plus payroll taxes. If employers get around that by hiring illegals for cash under the table (paying less than minimum wage and zero taxes), how is that "justice" for the low-skilled U.S.-born workers?

(Just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary.)
To: blueberry12
Perhaps because illegal immigrants work harder. They make more money. They crowd into one building, and they can afford to pay higher rent than others who are not used to living together like sardines. And I'm supposed to be sympathetic to someone whose entire business is dependent on clients who break all the rules in the market he operates in?
You might as well be defending the business of the guy that supplies trashy clothes to the local crack whores.
Not only that, prove to me these illegals will still be so hard working once they can't be penalized for being illegal.

Where does the honest taxpayer come into your bogus argument? I believe the illegal immigrants should be given a tax number, and they should pay taxes if they are working in this country, because that's fair.
To: freedumb2003
I was going to write that but knew that it would surface. : )
