That is exactly what I saw yesterday. I have been a 'moderate voice on this issue, but watching TV, and finally hearing what their agenda really is from that woman on Hannity yesterday, I have changed my position completely on the issue. I was for a worker program, but now, I just want the borders protected, and my Home Depot employment days are over.
Some of us came around earlier than others. They experienced earlier the same kind of moment that you experienced yesterday. More and more are figuring out what's really going on. These recent rallies have awakened so many more. We can only hope that our Congressmen and the President get a clue before it is too late - if it isn't already. Welcome to the club.
It's official. ;)
They're all over the tube. A leading Mexican activist/teacher was on O'Reilly tonight telling him that she teaches her students that all Republicans are racists and despise Mexicans. Yes, all. She also teaches that Mexicans don't cross the U.S. border, it's we that crossed their border. Bill O was very polite and tried to talk some sense into her but she'd have none of it.
but now, I just want the borders protected
It's an excellent start, but the way to solve this problem is to cut off the incentive to stay. ...or to come here in the first place. And this could be accomplished by punishing employers who hire them, cutting off all the welfare freebies, and repealing the anchor baby laws. Combine that with a protected border and we have a winning combo. ....which is precisely why it'll never happen.
