Osama is hanging out on the Mexican border. One place no US official would ever check.

There isn't any comparison. We've had five years to find Osama. Any suggestions?

You must strive to read for content...not just as an excuse to launch your pre-cooked ideas
.
Your reply is all about justice and vengence and evening the score and such.

The person or persons "responsible for 9/11" died flying the planes.

The "back channel" to those responsible for planning all this is almost non-existent.
OBL is more of a symbol than a head man...he's their "image"...not their President. (You are going to be hard to teach on this...your mind always runs ahead ignoring detail.)

Fact is, if you bother to read, there are dozens of Osama-like maniacs doing exactly what he is thought of as "doing"...and they are spread from hell to breakfast. So. There's no "there" there. And there's hardly a "them" there either.

The operatives can be caught and eradicated. The "organization" is diaphanous, etheral-almost, lacking corporate headquarters or staffs or employees or even business cards...It just does'nt exist. It's a classic guerilla concept that you see and then you don't.

You are not getting any of this are you?

It really does get even more complex than this...you will simply have to do some reading to understand it. That's going to be tough. "cause your mind is already made up and so are all of your pronouncements.

Face it. This is just not your reward life.

what are you talking about. Khallid Sheik Mohammed was the key planner behind 9-11. should we have let him off the hook because he didn't "die flying the planes"? 9-11 wasn't an act by some "lone wolf" cell, it was a well planned, funded, and thought out conspiracy - reaching much further then the actual terrorists who died on the planes.

we want EVERYONE who had anything to do with it, captured or dead.

Actually It's nice to have you finally "ride in here to the rescue".

It's much preferred than to having you waiting in the weeds ready to strike.

Find Osama

::slapping forehead::

Now why didn't we think of that?

And my idea for the strong Bush loyalists on this forum: Stop your slash and burn opposition to every criticism of the president.

I have voted consistently GOP for forty years. Nothing has ever alienated me so much as people right here on this forum DEMANDING absolute fealty to this president. He is a ton better than the other guy, and yet, to many of us, he is a huge disappointment.

It is not in the interest of the administration, or the GOP, to suggest that anyone troubled by W.'s stewardship is somehow disloyal. One begins to think, "if this is not my home, I need to find one." (I would be looking futher to the right, not to the left.)

So, you think it is a "good thing" that the standard of living of American citizens goes down. Perhaps you would be happier if it goes down permanently. You will probably be estatic if it goes to the level of Mexico.

How dare the lower orders think that they ought to be able to drive a car, sip a high end coffee, and smoke a branded cigarette! Uppity b**tards!

I agree Miss Marple...too soon everyone forgets the efforts of our troops to find Osama ..the bombings, the numerous terrorists that have been captured...maybe Peggy Noonan should visit free republics' site that list names on the terrorist round-up! I am in awe at what our troops have accomplished!!!
How long did it take us to find the abortion bomber that hid in NC? and to find many criminals in the USA? this is not an easy task...Noonan can easily play the blame game from her safe cushy office and be another armchair quarterback.

But the problem is Islam, not Osama.

I just return home after seeing "United 93."

You are so frikken right and all sensible people know it. Osama is a cog in the wheel of islam. Take him out and there are millions eager to replace him.

This isn't a convention war...it isn't a war against a nation state and it sure as heck isn't a war against person...

This is a war against islam!!!

Congratulations. You're the first person on this thread to have the right response.

Baloney! Osama's last message passed official voice recognition and mentioned recent events.

If he is under a pile of rubble...oh forget it. That isn't even worthy of a response.

Islam is like a shark...pull one tooth and another rises to replace it!

Kill Osama and another will swing up into position.

Islam is threatened by modernity. Islam must either accept the modern world and take its place in it (which means that islam must lose its core)...or islam must bring modernity to a halt and take us all back to a Taliban world (a world ruled by islam and sharia).

If islam gets nukes and the missiles to deliver them...what do you think islam will do?

Find Osama--it is a scandal that the man who started the new era is still free

There are some areas folks would be better served by silence.

She has no idea.

If he's buried inside a mountain, it seems a little difficult to find him.

Prayers for their loved ones; and continued prayers for the success of their mission.

I spoke to the Dad of the young soldier I know today, and he said they were all so excited about this mission.

God Bless them all.
