Charlie is one hell of a nice guy.

I don't think he is doing what he is doing for media attention.

Not the point.

"Some of them can barely form a cohesive sentence, never mind a rational thought."

And one never knows when they're invited to a 'Black Tie Event' if they'll show up in their underwear...and only their underwear. ;)

Those Peppers seriously need to be in the "Shut Up and Sing" category. I mean, they've tickled my eardrums a time or two over the years, but let's get real.

There is some serious chit going down, and if you're too stoned to realize it, you're just so much excess baggage. ;)

After your post, I went searching, and found this article and posted it:

Price: Troops' Morale In Iraq Is High

It's from CBS, but I agree these articles were not played up in TV and the MSM, as bad news are.

I bet they've all got Commie flags, tacked up on the walls inside of their garages.

Hilarious song. I recently heard it again for the first time since I was a little kid (Dad was a huge fan). I was too young then to get most the humor, but now I can appreciate it; "Would you believe this man has gone as far
As tearing Wallace stickers off the bumpers of cars.
And he voted for George McGovern for President." LOL!

So what else is new? Charlie is a supporter of our strong action against terrorism. That doesn't fit the liberal media template.

I love that song 'Wichita Jail' namely because he talks about my hometown in it.

"Neil Young, who I admire as a great musician and singer/songwriter"

I'm a (former and still occasional) classic rocker, but I can't think of anything memorable from Neil Young. "Southern Man" or whatever it was called did nothing for me (other than make me change the channel). I am baffled as to why anyone cares what this zero thinks or sings.

Charlie Daniels is a gentleman - a 100% standup practicing Christian that puts his considerable money where his considerable mouth is. The "short rope from a tall tree" comment came from an address to the Tennessee general assembly when he was asked to head up a child abuse program. He should be in politics but he would be a skyline target moreso than any conservative for his blunt responses to liberal idiocy. Even without being a fellow fiddler I would still raise him to the status of Prophet. His tongue strikes as hard as Jesus's whip in the temple. And it should......Rail on Charlie and cross those sands again.

As for Neil Young - his phrasing and lyrics were always weak and whatever year it is he'll always be a part of the "me" generation. What a wimp.

Neil Young has lost it once again... Mr. Helpless, helpless helpless is helped on board the Bush Bashing Express by the MSM. The man is feckless. He should earn his media stripes exposure: stand on a SUV and do a back flip into Jimi Hendrix's grave.

I mean, how can Greenday top that one!

I'm a little off point here, but I seem to remeber Neil Young being pro War on Terror, well after 9/11. I remember being a bit surprised by some of his statments at that time. I guess he rolled with the tide the other way.

Yes he was. He came out with the song "Let's Roll" in tribute to the brave souls on flight 93 and to voice his support for the war on terror.

No one has the answer, but one this is true, you got to turn on evil, when it's coming after you. You got to face it down, and when it tries to hide, you got to go in after it, and never be denied. Time's running out. Let's roll!

Actually, not many people saw this side of Neil Young because once again, the media was too busy focusing on the anti-war protests in Washington DC around that time. Neil wouldn't get much press coverage until a few years later when he composes "Let's Impeach the President"...
