Media Virtually Mute on Charlie Daniels' Baghdad Visit

Media Virtually Mute on Charlie Daniel's Baghdad Visit

It amazes me. When this jerkoff "Flea" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers stands up and bashes President Bush, it seems to make it to a lot of the major news organizations such as the Associated Press and others.

Neil Young, who I admire as a great musician and singer/songwriter, a guy who has given us rock and roll lovers so much great stuff, did indeed disappoint me with his latest anti-Bush tirade in his cd "Living with War" - and it also got a lot of internet-media attention. Again, Neil is a great artist, but as far as his latest stunt is concerned, I'll quote Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama"...

Well I hope Neil Young will remember... A southern man don't need him around, anyhow...

Also, Pearl Jam is getting a pat on the back from the liberal media with Eddie Vedder's recent anti-Bush whining.

And remember Sean Puffy P-ditty witty nitty Colmes - or whatever the hell he's calling himself this week - and his "Vote or Die" circus in 2004? Little known fact: P-ditty didn't even bother voting himself. But his fat-mouth was heard from all corners of the media that year.

Here's the latest from NEWSWEEK: Music: Sounding Off on Bush ... Yes sir, everyone who wants to see Bush impeached gets a lot of help from our leftwing media sources, don't they?

Now... on the other hand, we have Charlie Daniels - a Bush supporting conservative who was over in Baghdad on April 18th and performed before hundreds of cheering soldiers and civilians - and it was hardly noticed by the media.

Now tell me something. If you really think that the Associated Press is not bias, I want you to check this out for yourself. Neil Young makes a cd calling for the impeachment of the President and Charlie Daniels - also a musical legend - goes to Baghdad to play for the troops. I think both stories are about equally relevant and should get roughly the same coverage, right?

Here are 2 links I made using the URLS for 2 different searches on AP/Yahoo News.

Here's a search using the words 'Neil Young Impeach'

And here's a search - same AP/Yahoo News search engine - using the words 'Charlie Daniels Baghdad'

AP had 23 stories glorifying Young's attack on the President, and (as of the time I am writing this) ZERO - ZILCH - NADA about Charlie Daniel's visit to the war zone to provide some relief to our men and women by giving them some musical entertainment. The Bush supporting American legend was even getting cheers from Iraqi civilians. They loved him. But AP didn't find it at all newsworthy.

Charlie Daniels' name is 'Charlie Daniels', not 'Charlie Daniel'! Mebbe the silence is better than such misspelling.

Oh I am sorry - I didn't mean to do that. Problem there is a typo that the spell-check doesn't pick up. I think the basic point is still there, though. Again, my apoligies to Mr. DanielS for that.

Charlie is one hell of a nice guy.

I don't think he is doing what he is doing for media attention.

GOOD MAN Charlie.

I saw part of an interview with the 'red hot chili peppers".

Some of them can barely form a cohesive sentence, never mind a rational thought.
Yet these morons are the moonbat lefts spokespeople for international politics. Scary. It's no wonder young kids today are so stupid and unaware of what's going on in the world, these brainless wonders are filling their heads with their psychedelic world views via their lyrics.

Is Neil Young a US citizen yet?

I can't ever get this straight, is Charlie the older brother, or is it Jack?

Neil Young, Chili Peppers, Flaming Lips, many others, nobody, not one of these "artistes" speaks of artistic ideas, concepts, as the '50s, '70s rockers once did or attempted to. Perhaps in the 3 chord post-art-rock world there aren't any, any more. (Tell that to Paul McCartney or Elvis Costello, though.) But their infantile, inarticulate, uninformed Hollywood marxism, if that's what it is, does get on one's nerves.

I like Charlie’s music, but does he get stoned in the morning and drunk in the afternoon or does he have his way with people selling dope with a tall tree and a short piece of rope?

The major media are run by a bunch of neo-Bolsheviks. Their dirty little secret was revealed years ago and nothing like this should surprise anyone.

If you want the real news, you need to rely on talk radio, the internet, webgroups like this one, and VERY selective reading of ANY sources in the mainstream media.

Want a good laugh?

Check out one of the more recent issues of "TIME" magazine where they ran an article on "good" senators. Make sure you have a barf bag handy - maybe two - you'll need them.

That is true... I was born in 1971, but I am an avid music fan (particularly rock and roll) and I know much about music history.

The artists of today want to recapture that anti-war magic that was the late 60's - early 70's, but they just can't seem to do it. I heard Neil's latest cd and the power just isn't there.

Not that I would agree with the concepts behind the old songs, but they were much more powerful those days. Songs like "Eve of Destruction", "Fortunate One", and even Neil Young's "Ohio" were much better than the recent trash that Neil just put out.
