Replacing GWB may not be so far-fetched after January when the new congress takes over. Speaker Pelosi may have something to do about it. I don't think she wants President Cheney however.
Based on his position (GWB's) respecting the invasion of criminal aliens, I think articles of impeachment are constitutionally appropriate. Whether or not he gets the boot is another thing entirely.
I for one will stay home on election day. I will not vote for a Democrat but I can not support any Republican, even from NH who is running for national office, if any bill smelling of amnesty passes the majority party. I can smell amnesty because it stinks. I will however vote on the local and state ballots and I will vote Republican, but then again, the locals are conservative.
Damn how far back do we go impeaching past presidents for that heinous crime. You really need to get a grip.
The President already possesses the power to grant a pardon to each and every "illegal" that he wants to under the Constitution.
Instead, he is supporting a plan to try and get control of a bad situation that preceded him into office. This plan calls for those already here (and not going anywhere anyway) a chance to EARN the right to stay here and eventually become citizens rather than staying in the black market where they can get away with not paying their way.
I simply believe that it is time to unravel the mess and that this plan is better than any that will come from a Dem Congress or President in the future.
