the post volume on FR has decreased by a third in 2 months. Is that your own estimate, or did you read it somewhere? It seems a little high to me. I would have only guessed about a quarter.

Right here in CA - we had 3 very strong conservatives running for the Cunningham seat - and they were all rejected. Instead we are stuck with another RINO - Bilbray.
He used to be my congressperson - and while he was responsive to my questions, his vote for McCain's trashing of the first amendment turned me off in supporting him.

Well!
That personal attack in lieu of enchanging ideas sure goes a long way towards both leading by example, and validating PD's original criticism at the story state of intellectual exchange on FR these days...

The claim is preposterous and then some!
I've probably seen more people banned than you ever shall, since I suspect that you aren't going to last long here and I've been here a very long time and am NOT about to leave tonight.
And yes, I do know why a lot of people were banned. It's a no brainer...all you have to do is see what their last post was. And believe me, it most assuredly was NOT because they were "CONSERVATIVES"!
You attempted to take me on, with your smarmy, snide run-on name calling. Did you think I wouldn't notice? And now you're attempting to weasel out of it all. Pity that........
I don't care HOW big your shoulders are, n00b, that's not what we fight with here; we use our intellect.
Enjoy the cigar.......................... :-)

It's the rest of your page which is disgusting, not funny, not clever, and in extremely bad taste. You should rethink and redo it.

"I have discovered it's really time to do something myself. It may mean getting involved at the grass roots to throw the bums who are too RINOy out. It may mean encouraging people to get out and vote. It may mean doing one's homework."
I got a call tonight about the upcoming Michigan Republican primary. They wanted to know if I would be supporting Joe Schwartz ( big time RINO), and if I voted for him in the last election.
It must have been a Schwartz poll because they didn't want to here the full rant about my thoughts on him.
The time to sort them out is in the primaries, thats what I try to do.

Can there be any doubt that there are forces among us looking to drive a wedge between us? No doubts here. I think of it as the Hillary Wedgie (Yuck).
Nice essay, Dog!
Whoa, 2,289 posts. Am I ever late to this thread!

Oh I understand logic; but, you don't. I know, full well, who Aristotle was and probably many others, whom you've never even heard of; let alone read any of their works.
All of that may make sense to you; however, YOU are the only one for whom it makes any sense at all. :-)
To: Toby06
If posting volume has decreased it's because of people like you who abuse the privilege of being here.
Stop arguing already. You haven't convinced a soul and you are irking a lot of last nerves.

My, you certainly are being haughty this evening.
And, no, I am not "trying to take you on".
I just think you should be a little nicer. Toby is NOT a troll.
Conservatives do not agree on every issue, you know.

The people at the top of the Republican Party, and Demonrat Party are globalists. The only argument between them is which way to jump, into the E.U. or to create a united Western Hemisphere.
Meanwhile the average joe is so scared spitless to face reality that he shuts his eyes tight and hides under the bed hoping if he just keeps from facing the monster it will go away. It ain't going away. Not for the Demonrat base or the Republican base.
And history offers little optimism. Reagan's amnesty was loathed. The big bailout of the peso by American taxpayers, strongly opposed by people in both parties. NAFTA, also opposed in both parties. The open-borders trucking stuff, also opposed (and stopped). And now, they want us to just trust them again.
I'll trust them when they have a manned and fenced border.
Mark Levin has been good on this stuff, especially on the Senate Republicans who voted against enforcement first and the recent elections where Republicans who were soft on illegals were defeated in primaries: "You Weasel Republicans who invite this, you are going to be punished in the primaries, that's where we conservatives will have effective control over things. You think you do now because of the Senate rules where a majority isn't good enough, where you can hold up legislation or threat filibusters or join with all your liberal friends on the other side of the aisle. Well, guess what? In Republican primaries, it doesn't work that way."

we had 3 very strong conservatives running for the Cunningham seat - and they were all rejectedCunningham has a machine that works well. To upset that... You have a lot of work to do. You need local ground support. Pick ONE candidate that is not a RINO.
We took out an incumbent during the primary. But it cost a lot of money. I donated the max, and had a bunch of friends that did.
We worked the door-to-door media to death. Put out signs. Paid for lawyers when our signs were taken down by the local pols.
CAMPAIGN. It is a word with a meaning. It used to mean blood and treasure. These days, it mostly means treasure.
And if you want to make a change, you have to pay for it. Every bit is expensive, and frustrating.
Learn to love it. Work hard to change it.

Just because one person has a beef with it and I have had HUNDREDS of compliments, I think I just may listen to you. Yeah, I will listen to you and rethink it. Check it in a couple days. I'll fix it up some.
Oh yeah, I should update my flag, too, as I have left Zimbabwe for warmer climes.
