Many Conservatives long for the days of clinton and will accept higher taxes, gay marriage, abortion on demand and a weaker defense over the border. Oh yeah, and the Rat open border/amnesty program.

Very badly for any organization or person(s) that put their support behind Bush & the Senate. The President has lost all credibility on this issue, as has the Senate and both of their supporters.

Hell he is the only one of the entire bunch that has any credibility on this issue. His position is the same as it was in 1999. All of the others are just reading polls and reacting.

No, not really; I did actually "get" your infantile implication.

Grow up.

We should not have to beg FR to be conservative anymore than we should have to beg Bush. The ultimate goal here is a seriously conservative SCOTUS...you let in another 100 million or more impoverished third world immigrants in the nest 30 years and you can forget that EVER happening. They will get sucked right up into the minority victimhood cult that eats away at our natiional integrity like a tapeworm. Look how most of their leaders already posture with all that MECHA and LULAC talk. Here in Nashville with probably 100,000 illegals, there are no...zero ....nada...GOP...Mexican descended leadsers. Look at the Rio Grande Valley....a Dem cesspool.

Doesn't mean I advocate a third rail...until one is viable.

Big Ears gave us the Toon twice and there are some very decent GOPers out there. The only halfway decent Dem is Lieberman.

The policy here seems to be that forcing illgegals to go home is either not an issue or racial or impossible and that they will become good GOPers down the road.

Sorta like Ed Gillespie thinks.

Now I've lived in some of these countries and would prefer their cultures not consume my own regardless of how they vote and statistically they vote majority Dem....Rove's numbers tinkering in 2004 notwithstanding

What I also noticed that curiously the "conservatives" who are bashing President Bush for not being conservative enough, don't criticize Democrats, no matter what they do.

So how "conservative" are they really?

President Bush had never changed his views...he ALWAYS said he wanted a guest worker program...and he was my Governor.

Therefore, anyone on this forum that critcizes him, but voted for him...should STOP>

Bannings and suspensions are quite fair. Some of you folks get so emotional that you step over the line in your zeal to make a point. Every banning I've witnessed came with a warning, followed by a lot of talking back to the moderators.

I am NOT a moderator.

I've been in trouble with the mods myself, but I am not one to argue with clear authority. You, with your repeated accusations in the face of being corrected, are acting like you want someone to give you a time out, if only to make a point of being banned for reasons you and others might consider unfair.

I know that you and others think I am getting some kind of special treatment here, and I even joked about it, so that it would tweak some of you. You can tell a lot about a person when you poke them in the ribs to see if they can take it.

Each of us has the right to request that any odd FReeper not post to them if they feel there is nothing to gain from interacting with said person. I think this serves to keep the personal wars to a minimum. I know at least 4 FReepers who don't want to hear from me, and I have no problem adhering to their wishes.

But some of you guys make it soooooo easy to push your buttons, it makes me wonder sometimes if I am not arguing with Democrats. Believe it or not, I am just as susceptible to being banned as you or anyone else. And I realize that some folks will dance in the streets if I given the heave-ho, so I don't give them that satisfaction.

Just make your points, don't get angry, don't call names, do use facts, don't treat this as some form of competition, and you wont have a problem here. As far as I see, this site supports the Conservative agenda, and I believe the founder has stated that for the moment, the best chance of preserving that agenda is to give the Democrats no momentum they can use to defeat our side in November.

How will it all end? We are going to pick up seats in November. I am going to continue to hunt trolls. You are probably going to argue your way into a time out, and the site will go on as if you and I never existed. None of us individually are so bloody important that the Conservative agenda wont go on without our support. So don't take it all so seriously.

The Conservative movement is now split. There is no doubt in my mind that FR will figure it out and side with Constitutional Conservatives in the long run.

I don't think the conservatism movement is split along Constitutional/anti-Constitutional lines.

I think the split is more pragmatism versus hard-nosed-ism.

I think the split is more believe anything that supports your worst fears versus always verify.

JMO.

If a third rail does become viable and drags good GOPers with it, then the Whig scenario could happen.

Problem is...the Dems are so strong. At least 47% of the voting public here are Dem and growing much faster than our side because of this damnable invasion

We are at War with the left and I see no difference between the Conservatives that attack our President than Michael Mooreon and Murtha. You would at least think they would respect the office if not the man.

The GOP was formed by a massive amount of the old Whig Party.

In order for a repeat of that, the majority of present elected GOPers would have to leave and form a new party. Since I assume that you don't like the majority of them, no new formed party, by them, would be any better than the present GOP.

Well, I can't tell you how many times I've thought better of it and closed that "Posting Comment" window instead of making a certain post, and I've never regretted doing so.

They wouldn't understand real principle if it bit them on the behind. Bush could discard his and immediately raise his poll numbers, that is until the next bunch of "true conservatives" find something to beat him up with. Bush is a lousy politician and that is his greatest asset.

According to some people who have been banned, they received not a single warning!

Trust me, LIEberman is not "decent" in any way, shape, manner, or form, with the one exception of his sort of support of the WOT.

So how "conservative" are they really?

I don't know, but sometimes I expect one of them to bust out with their own rendition of Ross Perot's "Can I finish, Can I finish!?" It is the same mood, the same anger, which if not thwarted, will bring the same result. I am not prepared to see that happen, and since I enjoy knocking people from their moorings, I'm going to keep hunting trolls.

I heard there is a treaty coming up before the congress on or around July 4th. It is a U.N. treaty stating that only the state and the U.N. are entitled to gun ownership, not the individual.

That would mean that our second amendment would be interpreted to mean that only the government can form and arm militias. I'm sure it's not the first sentence of the treaty and can most likely be found on page 1,356,972, of the treaty and the congress can claim to have had no idea that the document included such language. It would not be the first time they claimed such a thing.

They are the first to tell you that it's impossible for them to read the entire details of every bill and treaty that they sign, and that they have in fact signed bills and treaties with destructive agreements contained in them that they had no idea was there, but now binds us to obey them.

There is not a whisper of this upcoming treaty that I have heard in the major media.
