I heard there is a treaty coming up before the congress on or around July 4th. It is a U.N. treaty stating that only the state and the U.N. are entitled to gun ownership, not the individual.

That would mean that our second amendment would be interpreted to mean that only the government can form and arm militias. I'm sure it's not the first sentence of the treaty and can most likely be found on page 1,356,972, of the treaty and the congress can claim to have had no idea that the document included such language. It would not be the first time they claimed such a thing.

They are the first to tell you that it's impossible for them to read the entire details of every bill and treaty that they sign, and that they have in fact signed bills and treaties with destructive agreements contained in them that they had no idea was there, but now binds us to obey them.

There is not a whisper of this upcoming treaty that I have heard in the major media.

From the "New American" no doubt.

Yes. I have heard the same. I also heard the the UN reminded Bush of this when he first became President. I heard his reply was that the US would pull out of the UN if they tried to push that on him. I don't know if that is all true or not, but that is what I remember.
