I ask you to treat him and his wife with respect and cut the personal attacks.

I agree they ought to be regarded with general respect; but this would be a much easier request if they, in turn, spoke & acted respectfully toward us.

Thanks for the rant - a bunch of supposed freepers have benn causing me no end of distress in their willingness to jump out of the pan and back into the fire. It would seem that many of them are suffering the same amnesia that the average Dim/MSM suffers when established facts become inconvenient.

God Bless

All good points. What we see happening is not unique to George Bush, I have known lots of republicans who helped put in ultra liberals at all levels, because by staying home they were going to teach the republicans to be more conservative. In every case I have followed, the republicans have never gotten the seat back and the liberals now have it locked up.

The only solution is to elect additional conservatives to Congress. We can't have a democrat president, for the good of the nation. Republican presidents will remain conservative in general. The House already is doing a good job.

I submit the obvious. The RINOsin the Senate have made a disgrace of the republican majority in many cases (not all). We need additional conservative Senators. That should be the goal.

Very good!

*I'm mailing a vicious (but professional) letter to Mel Martinez detailing his flip-flops on immigration (or lies on his resume). I can't believe this guy. I'm very unhappy with my Jr. Senator.

Great Rant Pukin'!

I wrote to one of my favorite radio personalities the other day and told him that his latest rant was nothing more than disrespect for the office of the President, and I won't be listening anymore.

The President hasn't done all that I'd have liked, but we're almost 5 years down the road from 9/11 and we have not been attacked again. I would have never imagined that on 9/12...and I think we have President Bush to thank for that. Plus the economy has rebounded and that's another thing that I would not have imagined.

Two conservative Supreme Court Justices is also a plus for the President.

He's not a dictator, some posts make me think that the poster believes the President can snap his fingers and a problem is solved. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that, and with the latest venom being directed toward the immigration issue...well that problem has been with us for years, and is not easily solved, so why all the uproar, all of a sudden.

Only explanation, IMHO, is that the Dems are trying to stir up the "political pot" because of the upcoming election.

Your intolerance of parsley is disturbing.

Thank you for this rant. The Dem were on the ropes a year ago, and they have only gotten more obnoxious in their pathological hatred of this President.

Yet all they have to do is set back and watch this all crash at our feet over an issue that was here 6 weeks ago, 6 months ago, and more than 6 years ago.

Some were not going to be satisfied unless they were told that the 50 foot high wall will be done by the end of the week, and shoot-to-kill orders are given.

So in their little tantrums, they're willing to turn it over to those who will ABSOLUTELY do just the opposite of what they demand.

Makes alot of friggin sense.

I'm with you Mr. Dog. I've fought many of those battles and been called many of the names you mentioned. One quick correction, Lincoln Chafee is from Rhode Island not Massachuesetts...not that it really matters. When you look at New England all you see are Democrats except for Mitt Romney and it seems he can't get out of Massachusetts fast enough.

The politeness level here has really declined . I'm all for good-hearted ribbing, but some of the threads I have been lurking lately are down-right nasty.

Heck, just look at some of the nice Keywords on this thread.

I am issuing a challenge to every person who considers him or her to be a Conservative; why don’t we all commit to a return to HONOR? Do we honor our Conservative agenda when we comport ourselves in disgraceful ways?

Pukin, I worked my rear off and contributed the max to both of his campaigns. I support him in the WOT and the appointment of judges. I supported him in the appointment of Miers, when most in this forum were against him. I respect the president. However, I do not support his position on immigration, but I agree we need to attack the issue and not the man or office. Also, we need to fight againt DemonRats. That said, I know all too well you do not support conservative views on the immigration issue. You have even boasted of your hiring illegal aliens to do work around your home.

Right now, our real enemy are the Main Stream Media, the Democrat Party, and all who follow and support them.

It also doesn't help when people here in this Forum attack, defame, flame and deride those who are their allies in this movement.

Too many times I have seen freepers call other freepers, Trolls, DUmmies, etc.. when the person that they are responding to is just as much of a conservative as the person doing the name calling.

You also can't blame people for being frustrated at what is going on in Washington DC. Alot of passion and sweat has gone into the election of these people, and to have them turn around and stab their worker bees in the back by failing to do what we sent them there to do is the cause of most of this angst.

There's an old saying. Taste your words before you let them slip past your teeth.

If you do that and try to talk with those who are fed up and are wanting to "send a message", you might find that you save a fellow conservative (I won't say republican because I could give a rats ass about any party), from making a terrible mistake.

Granted, sitting out the election is not an option. I used to think so until I read a piece by a fellow conservative. His stance changed my mind on that.

I won't sit out the election, but I also will not just willy nilly vote for anyone with an R by their name.

They'd better have a large "C" on their chest as well or I just flat won't vote for them.

Just my opinion.

Depends. People who trash the president or the GOP or us "bushbots" with their every post are not helping matters. It gets old.

Thanks for the reminder, Pukin.

Seems lately we've been served a lot of salad with an occasional side order of steak, but we need to remind each other - and be reminded - we've a much better chance of our own hearing our pleas and satisfying our bidding than attracting an arch rival's attention.

To self: Appreciate the beef when it's served.

At least a third of the folks here are as gullible as the day is long and have lost ALL perspective over Illegals. This is the third or fourth wave of insanity which has swept over the sit in the last year or so. Each one has exposed the danger posed by their gullibility. This one could be fatal and produce a tremendous victory for the Left should FR be marginalized as the Land of Loons.

Jim's urging fell upon unhearing ears. But the Sane thank him for trying.
