The negative energy on FR is suffocating. Frankly, I try to ignore it. The naysayers come out every election season like mold after a wet winter. They may represent 20-25% of FR, and are therefore a pesky nuisance here, but in the general electorate, I bet their percentage is more like 0.5%.
Sure, illegal immigration is a problem. Yes, gun ownership is a constitutional right. Agreed that our government is too big, even under Republican control. But single-issue zealots never won an election. Regardless of these issues, there are a whole lot of other fish to fry...the courts, for instance; the WOT, as an example; the economy, to mention another/ The inherent moral corruption of the Democrats should be enough to motivate anyone to vote Republican. Conservativism needs to be big-picture oriented.
For all the talk on immigration on FR, I don't hear much of it at the water cooler.
