The Walmart bashing from the Communist unions is getting old.

My sister worked at walmart in Michigan. She had healtcare and a retirement plan she was never offered in her previous health care job.

When she moved to Florida last month they had a job for her waiting, and gave her a raise the first day.

Anyone willing to work and show up does quite well at walmart, lazy union slugs however don't have the other 99% of workers willing to protect, and support them.

My local Walmart has openings for 35 cashiers starting at $6.90/hr. Overnight stockers at $6.70/hr. A Walmart employee in the electronics department said they had a fair number of applicants who were hired. They didn't stick around when they discovered they actually had to *work* to keep the job. Too many people expect to be hired and get paid for just showing up in a timely fashion. Many have no interest in actually performing valuable labor in exchange for their compensation. City government employees are among the most slothful of the bunch.

This letter was posted today in my hometown paper's online letters section:

On Saturday the 13th of May, my family experienced the devasting loss of all of our belongings to a propane explosion and fire at our home. We have lost most everything, due to the intense heat and smoke damage. There is severe structual damage and the home is a total loss. My husband is an employee of Walmart, yes the dreaded Walmart at ******* and they have been wonderful. We were told to come in, get what we needed, clothing personal care items, and food and cleaning supplies. It totaled over $1,000 and they covered all the costs. They have given us not only monetary support, but offers for dinners, clothing, and just a hug and a friendly ear. So many times I have read on here about Walmart being bashed about. But, without them, we would have no clothing, food or even a toothbrush. So say what you might, think what you will. My family and I will forever be indebted to them.
