17 years ago I bought a shirt with Bert and Ernie on it, with Bert holding a sniper rifle.
Ernie says "There's another one Bert"
Bert says "Consider him dead, Ernie"
I picked it up in the Philipines.

"We were amazed," said the school's principal, Susan Szachowicz. "You focus on the Sesame Street character. But the more we looked at it, the more we saw the things in it, the guns, the gang stuff."

Boy - she's right. Look at those cute little muppets. I remember when I first saw Seasame Street - I really like Big Bird. Is Big Bird in that picture. Oh, no I don't see him. But I see Bert and Ernie and.... wait, what is that? (squinting) Why I believe Ernie has a letter opener -- no - its a KNIFE! Why would Bert let Ernie have a knife? Wait- is that BERT holding a .....

Gosh, I was E-mailing news about this stuff yesterday.
I have friends and family who are graduates of that school.
For what it is worth, Brockton High School is one of the largest and best Public Schools in the entire country.
I do not offer such praise lightly.
BROCKTON, Mass. -- Brockton High School has banned T-shirts with Sesame Street characters. But these are no regular pictures of Bert and Ernies.

No need to concern yourself, Ms. Szachowicz - the ownership of firearms in the state of Massachusetts is strictly regulated by both state and federal statute, so, of course, criminals are unable to gain access to firearms and there is no "gun crime."
