Democrats Call for a New Direction for America (06|16|2006)
"Our new direction will advance a common agenda, seek common ground, and apply common sense in the service of the common good. We know that with a new direction, we can meet our national challenges in a way that makes our nation stronger, our economy more vibrant, and our families more secure. Instead of record deficits, we will go in this new direction in a fiscally sound way. We will make America more competitive and not heap mountains of debt on future generations."
From: Democrats Call for a New Direction for America - Press Release
Democrats are ready with a New Direction, with policies to address the real challenges Americans face every day. It will make health care more affordable; lower gas prices and achieve energy independence; help working families; cut college costs; ensure a dignified retirement, and make our government fiscally responsible again.
New Direction - isn't that what one lemming said to the other lemming?

If you think Hilly won't run check the phrases used in their new direction for America. LOL.
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
NOTICE the Hilly catch words COMMON GOOD.
Amazing. Never in the course of human history has so much been said by so many Democrats about absolutely nothing.
Too bad the election will be all about The War On Terror, The War In Iraq, and Immigration. The Dems could actually come out ahead if they ran to the right of the Pubs on those issues. Too bad this is nothing but a bunch of Focus Group test slogans with no one word about HOW they would do any of this. The Democrat Party! For people who prefer slogans over solutions
45 posts and not one mention of Nude Erection. FR must be slacking off.
Capitulating Isolationists.
Health Care wah-wah-wah-wah wah. Social Security wah-wah-wah-wah wah. Working Families wah-wah-wah-wah wah. Education wah-wah-wah-wah wah.
What, no Chicken in every pot?
Nothing new here ... move along!
The only new direction they want is for themselves to be in power.
lol!
I like the posting some clever soul left the other day--"Nancy Pelosi calling for a 'nude erection' for America?" That's about what we would be getting ourselves in for, if the 'rats manage to seize power.
Democrats Call for a New Direction for America -
Socialism, socialism and more socialism. And if that doesn't work, we'll try socialism.
Democrats, stealing money from productive citizens so the fat, socialist slobs can watch soap operas.
Meet the new direction, it's the same as the old direction.

Why didn't the Republicans think of this? The Democrats have apparently constructed a magic wand that they can wave in the air and provide for all the wants and desires of the American people while reducing the federal budget at the same time.... but only if we elect them back into a majority in Congress.
LOL!!!
The pursuit of the common...how inspirational, what a way to fire up the the competitive spirit.
Democrat's New Direction for America = TAX AND SPEND
so, instead of taking the detour to literal & political hell, they are going straight to hell ?!
Even though they speak in generalities, you know what they mean: more government control of our lives!
