I would love to be sitting behind the dugout of the Phillies or at worst right behind the bullpen during warm ups. That boy is going to hear some abuse!!!
I hope the fans don't boo Pedro at least not for this visit. Theo wanted to low-ball the guy with 2 years plus an option and Pedro ultimately got 4 years from the Mets. True he talked trash about the Sox but I don't recall him talking down the fans in any way. The NL is a much easier place to work as a pitcher so I don't blame him for taking $53 million. Theo fell for the Moneyball stats that said that between Clement and Wells he could replace Lowe and Pedro. Last year they did but this year it fell apart on them.

I agree. When the Red Sox failed to negotiate with him during the '04 season and let him go into free agency, the Red Sox sent him a message. They knew he would take it as "disrespect" and how Pedro would respond. I have to assume that they wanted him to go. Just like with Damon, they claim that they were concerned about the back-end year or two of an extended contract. At the same time, they overpay Rentaria, Suck-in-ez and Tavares (I'm sure I am missing some others) and don't even a get any decent front-end years. I would not boo Pedro or Damon, but, for some reason, I do find it entertaining.
