Thanks for the heds up, I heard about the deal in Georgia about 6 weeks ago.
A large portion of the industry is WAY insulted
not that we should be keeping our eyes out for stuff, moreover how does a nongovernment sponsered program become a requisite for continued employment?
anyone getting a new or renewed CDL MUST have a certificate or not get thier license
And of course in the American way there is an outfit that for a fee will certify them for a program that only requires listening to a cd for an hour and to call an 800 number to register when the cd is done
My opinion?, the ATA who sponsors this program needed to finish spending the 24 million dollor grant HSA gave them and needed bodies to show for it and the Georgia dmv fell for a pitch or got a hell of a dinner.
